What PGC and the potcake need to understand is this country IS an embarrassment. You think the international community does not know what is going on? They know that PCG and his band of kleptocrates are a bunch of sticky finger clowns. Perry is a running joke with his purple head.
The question is "What company would be stupid enough to get in bed with government?" Seeing how they operate and treat their "partners" (Baha Mar for instance) would you want to deal with the Government?
All the DNA will do is ensure we are stuck with the same band of corrupt kleptocrates we have now. The anti PLP vote will be divided between the DNA and the FNM and then the PLP will win with a minority vote just like last time. Bran has some good idea's but you can see he has an ego the size of Andros, the rest of them are a joke, as asked, who's the fast movers. We have seen this play out before in the 70's and 80's, and the country is going to suffer mightily. I hope we survive!
Yep, gasses as something stinks to high heaven, this place was supposed to be open years ago, but I guess the money got diverted to urban to help the poor, or more likely to the travel budget of our P.M. Did we ever get a breakdown for the Vatican trip? 2917 needs to hurry up!
This means nothing to the average Bahamian, where are the jobs? Real jobs that pay a decent wage, where are they? This Blah, blah, blah means squat. We used to be the envy of the area, now we are loosing ground daily. Government spending is out of control. What is the good news? Ain't none that affects me or my family.
Providing power to a nation is like breathing for a human body, take them away and both die. After 43 years of independence our government still can not provide reliable power, never mind the inexcusable cost of such spotty current. Only a fool would want to bring their business to these islands if the rely on electric. Lets not talk about the cost to the nation, in lost business, productivity, appliances, sleep, tempers, and patience. Then you can add in the cost of running a generator, fuel for that generator, service and last but not least our air quality from all the generators burning fuel. The costs are staggering, untold millions, wasted due to a corrupt governing system that has gotten worse and worse as the years tick by. The people that supposedly run this country are failures, no two ways about it. The unions are also to blame as they want the sun and the moon yet they do not look after their machines, or the plant they are on. Any person that has anything to do with BEC should hang their head and apologize to the Bahamian people. You have made this nation into a joke, you have hindered the progression of the nation, you have taken food off of Bahamian people table, you are a failure and a noose around the neck of the people of the Bahamas. Ya ass should sweat, not us!
The reason so many government buildings and facility's are plagued with mould is the fact that basic maintenance is not carried out. The disrespect and outright neglect of government property's is disgraceful. Look at the post office, check out the air conditioners hanging off the roof of the building next to John Watlings, look at almost any government building and you will see the level of respect and pride government has in what the PEOPLE afford them. It is every single Bahamians taxes that are squandered through neglect and shoddy workmanship. Pride, respect and a sense of ownership are clearly absent from government complexes.
They are flaunting their crookedness. It seems that the government and the AG will do anything and everything to protect those that have been not doing their jobs or worse giving the peoples money away to those they feel deserve it. People have been put in positions to MANAGE and protect the peoples money and at best they have not done their jobs that WE pay them to do. Remember this money does not belong to the PLP or Urban, it belongs to the people of the Bahamas. If we have no right to oversight and accountability how about WE say they have no right to impose taxes upon us? The people are the boss and these set are pushing the boss around a bit much these days, maybe WE start to push back and lets see how that works out!
For a government that is supposedly for the poor man and the "grass roots" they sure are putting hell on those they say they are working for. All that money in Urban was supposed to be used for the poor man but it has gone to cronie's instead. They can not give the people power, you think the rich man cares, he has a generator. VAT affects the poor in a much greater manner than the rich. Jobs, they seem to be only for PLP's if there are any at all. Banks downsizing full force. Whats their answer, a party, that they have spent millions on and given cronie's sweet payouts. Rubis report, under the rug, while poor people suffer. Bamsi, millions wasted and squandered on a great idea with zero management. Cronie's getting government jobs and not even having a business license much less paying national insurance. The Bahamian people get swing hard by these children trying to play adult failures. They are corrupt, have no morals or ethics and care about them and theirs, get that straight and this country might stand a chance!
