That would be party faithful, friends and lovers of BOTH political party's. The PLP and FNM have corrupted the entire nation to benefit their die hard supporters at the nations expense. Only a very few live large off the backs of the Many. Majority rule is a sham, we are still lorded over by a small minority the only difference is that minority now is the same color as the majority. yinna get swing!
The cat is already out of the bag. Crime has made the name The Bahamas, MUD. I had friends that where supposed to come down this summer that have informed me that they are going elsewhere instead. When asked why they said they could get exactly what the Bahamas has to offer at much better rates, with better service (they have been told), and less crime. Where might you think they are going? CUBA!
What jobs will come from this party. Will these costumes be made here? This thing will last for one week a year, what meaningful jobs can that produce? Our tourisum product is bankrupt, sun sea and sand do NOT cut it these days. Crime has made the Bahamas name MUD. Look The family islands are being avoided by boaters as they do not want their boat stolen. So I ask you who in their right mind would spend the amounts they want to wear a costume and walk the streets of Nassau? This thing is a slush fund to reward PLP faithful, nothing more, I doubt it will make it past two years. Look at who is running the show and who own the "bands", they are the only ones that will benifit from this sham.
Maybe the fact that most people do not have $350.00 to $800.00 to spend on a foolish costume that will be worn once. People are broke or have very little to spend on play/entertainment, if they even have a job. We need jobs not party's and foolishness. Once people are working again maybe then they will party. Priority's.
In this day and age of many of our children going astray these youth should make the entire nation proud. To bring the carifta Championship home for the second time in a row is a major achievement. I truly hope that they are acknowledged and appreciated as they should be for this major success in representing The Bahamas.
Who has $350..00 to $800.00 too spend on a costume? People do not have jobs and are killing each other just to feed their kids and they want us to party like it's 1999 and spend that sort of money on feathers? WTF am I living in LaLa land or what? These people are out to lunch and have no idea what is going on in this country. we need jobs! Idiot's!
Those in government are great at making laws yet somehow they also feel as if they are above those same laws. There seems to be one set of rules for government types and their cronies and another for the rest of us. Is there any wonder why this country is so lawless!
