Most women I speak to say they do not go to Junkanoo because they do not want to get "felt up". I understand what they are saying as I have seen it with my own two eye's. Women are touched in ways that are not acceptable in any form or fashion. Good luck having any decent people attend this Carnival foolishness!
Why don't we just hire a private company to run the Nation? They can't rip us off more than the people we elect! They will probably be more fiscally prudent. We could link their pay to their performance.
Perry thinks we are stupid hey? $28,00 is the base pay, add in all the benefits, added business for their law firm, board appointments, and more and they all are making over $100,000 a year. Let us not forget that we know, even though they break the law and do not disclose it, most M.P.'s are millionairs. These set are so out of touch they do not realize that most Bahamians are not even scratching $20,000 a year out of their job. Not only that they (the people) are not the ones driving the country into the dirt. Maybe if these jokers where doing a half way decent job at running the country there would be reason to give them a raise but quite frankly the country is is a shambles and they are failures at best at their jobs. A pay cut would be more in order!
It is fantastic that government has taken steps to protect the Nassau Grouper. The question on everyone is asking is will the law be enforced? Just yesterday there was a picture making the rounds on social media of Nassau Grouper for sale at The Montague ramp fish market. The caption said the picture was taken yesterday morning December 10th. If this is the case people are breaking the law. Who, if anybody, is out there checking and enforcing the law?
Bahamas Scoop is one of "them and theirs" and therefore a biased point of view just like the editor of the Tribune. What about putting The Bahamas first for a change instead of party? Putting party and "them and theirs" first for the last forty odd years is what has gotten the Nation into this mess, you think we can survive another forty years of the same?
The Governemnt of the Bahamas is a failure, that means that both the FNM and the PLP are failures. they are both the same! i am sick of being stolen from by both of these organizations. They look out for them and theirs, NOT the Nation, FACT!
5th. most expensive, in the top 5 worst cruise ports, crime out of control, corruption rampant, a undereducated population, dirt and grime everywhere, vat coming, this country has a very dim future. Batten the hatches!
This country is F#@%ed! VAT has not been implemented and they are already talking about using it to implement NHI. We where told that we had to have VAT in order to pay off our DEBT. These idiots will waste, mismanage, and steal the money no matter how much they tax the people. Listen up you A$$holes, i am at the edge, i have no more to give. The government has put us in this position yet it refuses to cut back, right size, or do anything to stop the bleeding of public funds. For the P.M. to say "this is what it is, deal with it" is a complete and utter slap in the face. The failure and corruption of government is the cause of this mess and they have/will not changed in the slightest. The only thing they do is whip the taxpayers with more taxes! F#@K YOU!
