THis is how the Government is trying to prop up the disaster called BOB. If government was not the largest shareholder the failure of a bank would have been shut down by the central bank. Who controls, the central bank, our very corrupt government. BOB is a disgrace and just one example of our broken government in action.
Our laws concerning the weed are from yesteryear and are hurting many that do not deserve the punishment they endure. This woman will go home with a horror story about The Bahamas and it's draconian legal system. Never mind the thousands of young black men whose life has been destroyed because they got caught smoking weed. Progressive leaders would make sure these laws are made more in line with the thinking of 2016.
I have never heard a word from Bacon, I have heard the words of Nygard. Disrespect for the P.M., our highest court, and our laws, were clearly uttered by one. There were implications of debts that needed to be paid, property transfers, so said. No problems with that? No outrage?
Minnis makes me wonder, is he for real? He just seems seedy. the guy is overreaching and it does not sit well. I am very reserved in my thoughts of this man.
Put a cap on the amount any given candidate and party can spend. Publicly disclose all political donations by amount and person donating. If donated by a company, who owns that company should be of public record. No person or group may donate over a certain amount. Whoever is the government of The Bahamas must know they represent ALL Bahamians not just their set of Bahamians. If there is not fair and balanced governing, this country will never succeed in becoming the great nation it can be. So far we have yet to understand or practice fair and balanced governing that works for ALL Bahamians.
I want to know how Fitzgerald got those e-mails? I want to know if he can get anyone's private information and under what authority? What about privacy laws, do Bahamians have a right to privacy? We know government is very secretive and they will sue if certain information becomes public. What about business, can government just steal private information and expose it in the HOA, willy nilly? I think investors may be a bit wary of this.
