First of all the headline is stupid because as far as I am aware nobody was saying the vendors where banned from the beach, they just did not want them using a certain access point which is private property. There is another access point farther down the beach that for some reason nobody wants to use.
Now to BahamaPundit, you say "the law is the law", but we have a government that is breaking the law daily and disregarding a lawful order by the supreme court I.E. Blackbeards Cay, so in this country that statement is taken with a grain of salt. When your leaders are corrupt and break their own laws the rule of law is thrown out the window. So is the law, really the law?

I wonder if the reason they will have enough money to finish is because they are not buying golf clubs, wine, and cigars? They got straight on that stuff from their last job.

Birdie, if you or I where to ignore a lawful order by the supreme court we would be locked up, why should the P.M. be treated any different than all other citizens of The Bahamas? You have no ground to stand on in trying to defend the inaction of the P.M., a lawful order was handed down by our highest court and the P.M. has thumbed his nose at them. Lets see you try that and lets see what happens to you.

The governments scheme NOT to educate the people of the Bahamas is paying dividends to the Politicians. Easy pickings and not a peep from the masses. Hell some like Birdie believe they are getting an excellent deal, must be nice to be a crony that does not think in a critical manner.

Last night I was west and my eye's are still burning. What must have happened to my poor lungs is criminal. The people to the west have every right to protest and create havoc until this killer fire is put out, their lives depend on it! That smoke is DEADLY!

How can VAT save us if the VAT money is squandered on crap like junkanoo carnival? We as the tax payers need to hold government accountable, they are killing us as a nation. All this spending so they can transfer wealth to THEIR supporters and finacially ruin the rest of the Bahamas is what they are doing. This is the problem with the PLP they will kill the country so that their supporters are taken care of. They know nothing about fair and balanced governing, all they know is how to rape the treasury for their own gain at the expense of the nation.

asiseeit says...

Our debt continues to grow and we have nothing to show for it except some very happy PLP's. At least with the FNM the country benefited from their spending spree. Roads, Harbour dredged, ports moved, Abaco (new airport, roads, and government complex0, Eluthera (three island dock) PMH (critical care block), Montague and the beach out west, and the list goes on. What the hell have Perry and his thieves done with all this money they are borrowing? I see nothing!

If the government does not obey their own laws why should any other Bahamian obey them? This government wonders why we have a crime problem, if they would look in the mirror they will see the main cause of our lawless society, themselves. The government is direct the cause of the breakdown of the rule of law in this country. This is what you get when you have a government that is corrupt, immoral, unethical, and biased. Wake up Bahamas, you have a government that is destroying your country from the inside. Your children will ask you one day why you allowed them to do so.

I would venture to say that many wealthy persons black and white are loath to invest in this country solely because they know the politicians will cause havoc through, corruption, graft, greed, and meddling. They (the Politicians) always want their cut which many rich persons are unwilling to give. Cheaper to invest otherwise where there is no political interference.

The big question is, "Is Bahamasair worth the money that has been lost to it"? They say that the company is 500 million in debt to the public treasury but how much money has really been thrown at this looser of a business? I am of the thinking that that same 500 million could have been spent on education and the country would have reaped the benefits of and educated society. Bahamas air should be sold off and regulated to the dustbin of history as private business can and will do the job so much better with no cost to the treasury.
