Let a Bahamian build a shanty town on Crown land and see how fast they come to arrest said Bahamian and knock down the structures. This country has laws and they need to be upheld and enforced across the board. The fact that the laws of the land have been applied to some, sometimes and not all, all the time is why we are in the state we find ourselves. enforce the law!
11 thousand Bahamians invested in the port, I wonder if they will have a chance to invest in NewCo or if just the PLP minions will be taken care of? I for one do not trust this government to be fair and make sure ALL who want can invest.
I do not care if they offer 10% interest, I will not support the governments reckless borrowing habit. These idiots are spending the peoples money like it was growing on tree's.
Let a true Bahamian go and build a shanty town and see how fast they demolish it. It is very telling how these immigrants build shanty towns, have electric hook up and no one says peep. Who is getting paid off? How do these illegal ghetto's fly under the radar? Almost every island has some sort of illegal shanty town and the politicians are so chicken they refuse to do anything about it. This country is being destroyed from within by none other than our politicians, they care about fame, fortune, and power more than the nation that they profess to cherish.
Don what you say about the shares going to the little man makes sense. It will be very telling who the PLP allow to invest in "NewCo", if it does like the Port and make sure all who want to invest can or if they just look out for their people as usual. Knowing the PLP they will just look out for PLP's as always.
This country is in decline and headed to hell in a hand basket. This is what happens when those that govern are more concerned with their bank balance than actually governing. If these kleptocrates win the next election this country will never recover. This government is the worst in history, we need a modern day Woods Rodgers to run these pirates.
Blah, Blah, Blah, it boils down to the fact that The Bahamas depends on the U.S. for 80% of our tourist dollar while the U.S. depends on The Bahamas for nothing. See we need them, they do not need us, why do you think Cuba is opening up!
