We need to know ALL sitting M.P's business with government. Who is renting their buildings to government, there are plenty of them. If the building is in their Ma's name it needs to come out. These government people have been on the gravy train for too long while the regular Bahamian catching a cut hip. They ALL have deals and property's that they rent to government. This is one of the reasons they do not want a FOIA, all this dirt will be exposed. If the Bahamian people knew how tangled up and corrupt these political types are there would be hell to pay and they know it. Mr. Roberts with his stink mouth is front and center so cheaper he shut up before he sinks his own ship.
The clothes might get wash but the stink is still there. Urban is a slush fund, nothing more, nothing less. Disgusting and these people say they are god fearing!
This is private investment, government is just a facilitator as it should be. Sit small and stop trying to take credit for things you really have no business taking credit for. If anything the government has been an impediment to the growth of The Bahamas and her people. We deserve better governance, free of corruption, and the all for me attitude of especially the PLP and it's members. Change is coming and none to soon!
The REALLY sad part is the Bahamian people where led to believe that the PLP would work and unshackle the common man. The truth is we just traded masters and the ones in power today are just as bad if not worse than anything that came before. Common Bahamians are shackled with a governing elite that work for themselves, their family's, friends, and lovers before any thought is given to the best interest of the country. Bahamians have been deprived of true education, economic freedom, a level playing field, by these corrupt, greedy, traitorous, politicians for long enough. It is time for a change and a change is coming, those same politicians better hope they do not end up in Fox Hill where they belong.
This government is corrupt, immoral, unethical, and a cancer on the Bahamas. We the People of the Bahamas are paying a steep price for the very rich PLP politicians to get even richer, enough! go, get, be gone, you demonic spirit.
They already are using the race card, why else sing "Redemption Song"? The PLP is so shallow that they pull out the race card whenever it suits them. They even bill themselves as the party of "the poor black man", which any sane person would know is hog wash. Why do you think Birdie votes PLP, read her posts and it is all there in black and white, no pun intended.
Also, reporters need to ask how the Hilton deal has been approved in such rapid haste? How could they buy the hotel, draw the plans, get all the required reports, and get all the required approvals and permits all in 6 months? Are the reports public? Will the breakwaters affect the public beaches? Will the marina obstruct the view from the public beaches? How high is the new hotel, how did they get approval for that? All in record time. Funny how that works for our new Chinese partners but not for Bahamians themselves.
The P.M. and the PLP are circling the wagons. There is more to come and when it does they will play the race card as they always do. Redemption song is but a diversion and an opening salvo from a cornered, guilty, and soon exposed corrupt government. They see only one way out and that is the race card which people like Birdie will eat up with gusto. Watch and see.
Any sitting politician who has not disclosed any connection to the Baha Mar fiasco should be kicked out of the HOA and investigated to the gills. That means if their family is involved as well, Husbands, wives, sons, and daughters, if they are involved the minister has a CLEAR conflict of interest, no if's, ands, or buts about it. Looking straight at you Mr's AG!

Sad to say this but violence (hanging) is the only language these criminals understand and react to. Hang a couple and see the difference in attitude.
