Just the fact that the government feels it necessary to state this is telling in itself. What a shameful state of affairs, deplorable!

Excellent writing and commentary once again. I truly hope the politicians read and understand what you have said in this article. The amount of people from the middle class that are thinking the same as you is astounding. Those with children they have hopes and dreams for are bailing out in droves. What politician can be proud when the people they are supposed to be working for abandon the country because of their (politicians) actions/inaction? The supposed leaders of this country have squandered their chance at greatness, shame on them!

I bet they NEVER had any reports done, nor where they required to produce any in order to receive the building permits. If you look at the plans they are going to Build into the Harbour, have they done any reports on how this will change the tide flow? Do they have any reports to show if the PUBLIC beaches will be impacted? It also looks like they are building their marina in FRONT of Long Warf beach, now known as Junkanoo beach. Remember the noise and ruckus the PLP made about the redevelopment of Saunders beach, where is that concern now? Where are the reports, how could the permits be granted in less than 6 months? Why can a foreign company come in and get the royal treatment while Bahamians can not even get a meeting? Bahamians first, my foot. Next thing you will see them run the Bahamian vendors off Junkanoo beach (whats left of it), watch!

Seems the AG's whole family is involved in Baha Mar, Daughters, husband, and brother. There is no way she can be impartial and not have a conflict of interest. Oh the tangled webs they weave.

asiseeit says...

Why are you picking on Birdie's poor PLP, we had pirates in the Bahamas in the 1700's so we can have pirate's run the country in 2015. Now we just need a modern day Woods Rodgers to come and hang them.

asiseeit says...

The AG has a clear conflict of interest and needs to step aside forthwith.

Will a reporter step up to the plate and ask Mr. Cristie if indeed his son has a company, did that company receive the pool contracts, and where that company is incorporated? It would be interesting to hear what the P.M. has to say on the matter. Also should be easy enough for a true reporter to get to the bottom of and find out the TRUTH!

asiseeit says...

China has the money, who's side do you think our P.M. is on?

asiseeit says...

If it is true that the P.M's mentally challenged son has a company and that company was awarded the contract to build the pools at Baha Mar, the Bahamian people have a right to know. If this is found to be true the P.M. needs to resign!
