I voted yest know that capital punishment will not affect crime whatsoever but i do beleive there needs to be some sort of maximum punishment for repeat offenders. Foxx Hill has become easy , they have drugs they have phones. Remove the prison from Nassau. Take these young men and women to an isolated island and really attempt to rehabilitate them instead of putting them in a cage and expect them to behave when they get out.

I agree and we've become too centralized with nassau thereby leaving the family islands to fend for themselves. Now the the city is overpopulated with jobs being scarce. Our education system is being crushed which is why the productive workforce no longer exist.

Baha Mar should not have been in Nassau, it will cannibalize the market.

Hopefully the people lock up enough PLPs and FNMs to destroy both parties. The country is tired of this old story.

To davis, political donations and bribes are the same thing, the bigger check gets the favors.

This will be a huge mess simply because we have yet to manage keeping electricity on even when bills are paid on time. Now the idea of moving to prepaid package deals only sounds like a way for the government to take more money from the people like how BTC does with its prepaid card system. Now instead of one light bill per month,Bahamians will be topping up every other week.

When powers goes out how do you know if you're power has run out or BPL is just down?

Someone is making money off of our young men being piled into fox hill. It would be good to see who supplies prison for food, clothes, equipment etc.

From the money made how much goes to the people tho..Commonwealth games obviously will get a cut and foreigners own the hotels. Bahamians will just keep the tips I guess.

I always thought the beach soccer rought wasn't the best idea. If you think about it soccer in general isn't a particularly popular sport in our country , I'd put flag football ahead of it. Now you add beach soccer? Who did you expect to show up, knowing Bahamians don't like the sun?

I understand it's suppose to bring in foreign participants and families but how big is that market size? Yes there are going to stay at hotels which are own by foreigners who are going to take that money out of the country anyway.

This reminds me of how the NFL and NBA owners have the taxpayers pay for the venue then keep all the profits.
Our politicians negotiating skills suck!

Some of the stuff that comes out of these politicians mouth man.." leading the world" Where have yall been the past 5 years? Jamaica started with decriminalization, now they're expanding their medicinal use. Look where being conservative has gotten us...

For a government that has no plans on how the country is going to make money, is shying away from perhaps the easiest solution. Many tourist already believe it's legal here anyway. Take on the brand and be proud of it. We wont be shamed for it

Fact is some high students are going to try drugs not just marijuana, now is that a criminal problem or just a growing up problem?
