Yeah, Bahamians complain about $1 rise in gas prices but dont complain about $7 for a movie at RND vs $14 at Fusion for the same movie only to pay for over priced snacks, and taking photos of the latest clothes, finger tips, latest bags, latest shoes and jewerly that they sport at Fusion. Nothing is expensive , if you want it. We do not complain when spending on pleasure but the government needs to pay for our essentials. The government finda money for lunch, snacks and uniforms because public school children cant affors theseessentials, yet can afford allof the above with the latest iphone to take all the pictures of their espensive night at Fusion.
So, when it comes to track, Jamaica's population is 10 times bigger than the Bahamas'. That is our excuse since they obtained 97 medals, and we obtained 17. We say we cannot compete against such a large country. Now, we have defeated Jamaica for the 4th time in a row, so how did we overcome this population size in swimming and not track? Our track team and our country needs more dedication to track if we want to compete with Jamaica. Hats off to Jamaica on a job well done.
Whay about the eastern and western roads beach access?the rich people just get to put a gate up or pit a large mound of sand up to prevent us frkm accessing the beach. That is wrong!
Jamaica 97 , Bahamas 17, wow! Just terrible. We need to get serious about everything. We need dedication from ojr athletes. It is just like the private scjool track meet. Qc and SAC have been at it for some time now. You may have SAC 1400 points, QC 1385 points. The third place ........400 points and downward. Principals need to take pride in the standings. If I were a principal, I would want to compete with the top schools. It is not good for the students when they see their school being humiliated every year, and the principals only think about grades.
We did a few years ago. I will be there! I am a little disappointed with the results. We seemed to have done worst than the last time. We are a track powerhouse , but the results do not show that. Also, I hope there are more Bahamians in the stands than Jamaicans, this time. Dang, the last time Carifta was here , you would swear it was being held in Jamaica. Bahamians could not fill up one side of the stadium , let alone the entirw 15,000 seater. It was really a poor showing by Bahamians.

It was a poor showing by Bahamian athletes. They could have gotten 10 medals even if thet stayed home. It was a wadte of taxpayers money, total waste.
