Joe blow, I hear you, but if he doesn't, according to the former posts, he will be moving too slowly. Next complaint...too much red tape.if he moves too quickly, people will say, where are the checks and balances. You will always please only half the population all the time.
Who cares...it always seems that there is some blame to go around.there is always an excuse whether it is BTC or BEC. These companies are pathetic and give terrible service at top dollar. Just unacceptable!
The colour "GREEN", is what matters.I think it is more than colour but involves may other factors. You have Blacks who won't go to other Blacks for services because they think that their own Black people are ignorant ,and it is the same for other races. It is very complicated. If you were a " mixed child " growing up , you were called many names , but you dealt with it and laughed it off. If you were Black and were called names all your life in the Bahamas, it is racism.
You can never have value for money, to the construction of our houses, electricians wiring our houses up wrong ,, tile layer putting tiles down incorrectly, to everyone out to lunch or on vacation for two weeks and no one else can do it government worker, to electricity that is very expensive when it is on half the time, to the water off because water and sewerage wanting more money.....etc.this place is ridiculous and expensive. Oh, let's not talk about duty dropped on hand towels ,but Mr. Robests has them more expensive than before duty was dropped.
let 100 of them work in private practice as a general physician paying rent, staff, malpractice insurance ,and other daily fees , and let' see how much they take home at the end of the year. They will beg for their "govmant" job.
We are on a Hamster wheel , and it is not looking good. Who is going to pay for these constant raises and perks? There is only so much in the economy plus hurricane season that normally can run a slow 150,000,000 to 200, 000,000. $29 departure tax plus VAT, $ 5.00 for police record that was $2.50 , bus drivers want an increase ,and the list goes on. When will this end. I am not an economist , but I think we are in a recession/depression. We are in trouble and no one seems to have the answers.....
So, does the.person not have mold in his/ her house? What about cockroaches or termites, any rats running around the yard? It is common to the majority of households in the Bahamas, but you can't get days off from a job that you don't want to go to, that's the real problem, no one wants to engage in that nonsense that occurs between Monday and Friday, just show up to pick up the check.
