it is great that duty is removed from some items, however, the consumer will never see the savings. Case in point, the government dropped duty on hand towels last year or the year before , and Super Value has gone crazy with the price of hand towels. Before the duty was dropped on hand towels, the special was one for 99 cents. After duty was dropped, the special is one for $ 1.39 ...... unbelievable! Super Value charges more for hand towels now than before the duty was dropped!

people sail into our waters all the time with apparent legal guns and licences from another jurisdiction. when they get here, it is another matter because he or she may legally be able to carry and conceal in their territory but not legally in ours. it is an offence here, so one must know the law where they are.....simple.

The majority of crime is carried out by a Bahamian male. They say we need to rescue our boys, yet The college Of The Bahamas just increased its fees for the young black Bahamian male to attend. How are you going to encourage young men to attend college when it is realistically financially out of reach? We need to make college affordable for the young Bahamian male to attend. Let us do like the night clubs, let the ladies in for free and charge the men who follow. So, don't charge the Bahamian male to attend college but charge the Bahamian female..

Well, not quite. Be patient and let's get it right . Let us take our time and study the pitfalls and prosperity that may come from this. IA friend of mine had a Cholesterol problem and the doctor wanted to put him on Crestor. At the time, Crestor was a new drug, so my friend asked the doctor to put him on Lipitor which has been around longer than Crestor. In about 50 years, they will come out and say that this causes you to lose you cat or gives you a flat tire. In essence , let us wait to see all the side effects because we don't want the side effects other countries may have.

So, America for the most part, gets our educated Bahamians who are able to contribute to their society positively. They have jobs, do not drain the educational system, the health system , and the social fabric of America. We on the other hand, must accept people who come here not being able to speak English, with no educational degrees, and whom totally relying on our health care system. These people have children and have to rely on Social Services . When Social services, the public educational system, and Health care System needs more money, what will happen? Where is the Tax, oops, I mean money going to come from? Now the government of the day has to make a decision. Do we increase VAT to get more money? So, people who are already Taxed, get taxed more, so others can live. Vell Muddos ! I might as well stop working and get some of this gravy train!

Once again Joe Blow, you are on a roll! Whoever is competent to get the job done should be considered, simple.I guess he will be able to sleep better if it were the case.
