The MU-2B has an extensive history of crashes -- especially with inexperienced pilots. It is a engine turboprop that flies high and fast like a small jet but lands at slow speed like a piston driven aircraft, but doesn't behave like either a jet or a conventional airplane due to its full span, double slotted flaps.
There are special procedures for stalls to fly this plane which are counter-intuitive to most aircraft. The airframes are at least over 30 years old, so there could be a variety of reasons why this plane crashed. I wouldn't ride in one.
However there will be exploiters. I remember the solar company started by Lincoln Bain and Graham Weatherford. They patched together a system from solar panels and inappropriate automotive parts and were selling it as a complete solution instead of a BEC hookup. If I recall correctly, Weatherford swing Bain by overstating performance. Bain was the money behind it, and it all came crashing down when their system wouldn't work as advertised.
Petro Caribe. I remember that. At the time, Potcake was being advised by an ex-banker who turned out to be a tief, and they were all for signing on. A year ago, I saw this ex-banker (who still calls himself a financial adviser to Potcake) on the street downtown, and he was still carrying a portfolio with "PetroCaribe" emblazoned on it.
All that we had to do to join Petro Caribe, was to kick out all of the other oil companies, and give all of our business exclusively to Venezuela. We would get cheap oil, we wouldn't have to pay for it immediately and oh ... by the way ... we sign over our energy sovereignty to that the nutbar Chavez who was alive at the time. Him dying horribly of cancer was another hint that there may be a god.
When I lived with my aunt and uncle in Montell Heights, the Jehovahs used to come round, and I used to welcome them and debate them. At the time, there were around 2-3 million JWs (now there are over 8 million) in the world. Since the JW's believe that only 144,000 of the just will be raptured, I used to point out that my odds were very slim. Considering that in 1986, they believed that all but 9,000 of them were already chosen to enjoy heaven, just by statistics alone, I would not make it. Plus I didn't fancy knocking on stranger's doors, recruiting even more, because that very act would further dilute my chances. And then there is that special song that only the chosen know.
I pointed out that I am tone deaf. I cannot even carry a tune in a wheelbarrow, so I am buggarshmucked in that department as well. After listening to me, some of them were quite shaken up, and I may have started the apostate process in one of two of them.
My aunt wouldn't approve of my religious debates, and often pointed out to me that the devil can recite Scriptures for his own purposes. When I told her that it made more sense that hell shouldn't be a place of misery, but rather the devil should reward you for doing his work, she would grab the broom and try to hit me.

Co-sign. Agree entirely.

Throw a rock and then say "We must all stop trowing rocks". Deceitful and hypocritical. Your true colours are showing.

Interesting. It is probably because the government didn't have any more money to take the whole tranche.
Willing to bet that NIB is saddled with useless government paper that may default.

The real reason for the PLP concern for BoB,is that the owners of the PLP (the webshops) will not have a place to bank if BoB is shuttered.
Therefore, I would like to see BoB shutterred. Fidelity Bank has announced that it will service the Family Islands.

Them Catholics stick together like Lodge Brothers (although Lodge Brothers do perverted things) -- I think that Minnis is a Catholic as well.

Plus Galanis has a shady, tainted background. He should leave the PLP as well, to younger people with an actual ethical and moral compass.
