This is interesting from a rational point of view. There are a few possible scenarios:

1) Deltec realised that they were hiring an empty suit without any influence over the current government

2) The state of offshore banks and the future of wealth management is not as rosy as one would suspect and there is no future in it.

3) It was a horrible fit with each side having different expectations, for example one would actually have to work instead of proffering opinions or the skillset didn't match the requirements of the job.

4) There is upcoming legal work needed by the government that would be more lucrative than "the mindblowing opportunity of a lifetime.

Ahhh .... pondering the world of possibilities that are unavailable to 99.999999% of Bahamians.

Jamaica built an ICT (Information and Communications Technology) sector of their economy to create jobs.The IT jobs and IT companies in St. Anne's Parish are flourishing and they do work all over the Caribbean including the IT jobs for Scotiabank that were transferred there making Bahamians redundant.

It was a pity that Mr. Ingraham wanted to build a Third Pillar in the knowledge economy sector and the PLP campaigned against that and sunk it, along with the equality of women constitutional change. Bahamians are now getting what they asked for and what they deserve -- a mediocre corrupt government, and a pathetic, economically deprived life with a brutal, unfulfilled life experience full of fear, crime, stress and social and economic upheaval.

Lynden Oscar Swindling set the moral compass of the Bahamas and created the corrupt society that we now enjoy today. It is just going to get more chaotic and anarchy will reign as the people will suffer extreme privation. We are on the road to Hell, and there is no turning back unless the people seize back the government for the people and by the people.

You could have the best ideas in the world, but if as a Bahamian, you do not have access to seed capital, venture capital or business capital, you are sunk.

Great ideas are built on OPM - Other People's Money and Bahamians do not have access to capital or Other People's Money.

Then you are not a real FNM. Real FNMs respect the tenets of democracy and Minnis is a democratically elected leader. Once you elect a leader, you either get behind him or leave the party. The PLP do not respect the democratic process. Neither do you. You belong in the PLP.
