I was turned off by him naming a party chaplain. Obviously he hasn't learned the principle of separation of church and state. But a chaplain?????

For crying out loud, there are a hell of a lot more important posts to fill to make a party go, like National Policy Chairman, Constituency Organization Managers, Director of Communications, Membership Secretary, Caucus Whip, Chief Revenue Officer, Chief Information Officer, National Campaign Co-Chair, Party Manager and Chief Political Advisor and a host of other posts necessary to make a political party function.

What a Mickey Mouse outfit. Sounds like just a bunch of friends trying to sound important. They haven't a clue on how to run anything.

For example, before you announce, you should have a website. You should have a white paper outlining policies and principles. They should have a mission statement, a credo and a development plan. They should have had this before they launched.

We don't need more frigging amateurs, and this is so amateur that it belongs back in the bush.

An even juicier story is why Krys Global terminated Rahming and is leaving the Bahamas.

On Rahming remains as Baha Mar liquidator

He should check out Syria, Tunis and Nigeria while he is at it. And he should pay a visit to his cousin Robert Mugabe.

They will say that she doesn't have the mental acuity, the knowledge base, the education and the statesmanship qualities to lead?

The only thing that I know for sure, is that Perry Gladstone Christie is no leader and perhaps more destructive to that Bahamas than Pindling was. LBT is in the same class as Bran of the DNA -- good at politics, short of the stuff of true leadership. Minnis is worst of the evils out there. He got rich from business. Someone who knows business is what this country needs. Also wondering why the "two" voices of the PLP both touting the flawed concept of two newspapers throwing their weight behind LBT -- saw no real empirical evidence of that. Either the person behind the two nom-de-plumes is the same, or both are following directions from their political PLP commissars as to what to post on the internet.

It's proves the adage that it ain't over until the fat lady sings. The fat lady is singing like a canary now. The trouble is that she ain't got what it takes to run a country. Her biggest asset (make your own jokes) is her big mouth. We already got one of those in Perry Christie. We need someone who knows finance, statesmanship, who is educated, and enlightened.

Someone who can't control themselves to put the fork down, especially when they have money or are better off economically than most people, doesn't have the personal discipline required for leadership -- among the other qualities mentioned as well.

Maybe the Haitians could run the show better than the PLP! As a matter of fact they could. Anyone could run it better than the PLP.

The United States has experienced a massive decrease in crime trending over the past 20 years & the decreases are getting more dramatic each year. The same goes for Canada and most developed countries. This has been studied by the Brennan Center for Justice at The New York University School of Law and among other academics. They have compiled a list of causative factors, and these are the most significant:

(1) Decrease in Unemployment

(2) Increase in Income

(3) Increase in Consumer Confidence

(4) Decrease in alcohol consumption

(5) Decrease in crack cocaine use

(6) Legalised abortion

(7) Aging population

(8) Increase in social media and gaming by the young who were traditionally the worst offenders -ie they are hooked the internet & kept busy

(9) Here is a strange one -decrease in leaded gasoline is a factor.

(10) Use of data and technology in crime fighting as a preventative measure

Here is what doesn't work:

(1) High degrees of incarceration

(2) the death penalty

(3) right to carry guns

(4) increase police numbers

From 2000-2013 there has been a 27% decline in violent crimes in America including murder. There has been a 25% decrease in property crimes (stealing, burglary, robberies) in the same period. Factored over the years 1990 - 2013 there has been a 50% decrease in murders in violent crime in America.

Studies show that based on original empirical analysis conducting the first nationwide study of applying the technology of CompStat- a modern police management tool has a dramatic effect on crime. CompStat’s effectiveness on crime is that the introduction of a CompStat-style program may be responsible for a 5 to 15 percent decrease in crime across cities that introduced it. CompStat is a police management technique - a way to run police departments — that was widely deployed in the nation’s cities in the 1990s & 2000s, starting in New York in 1994. Specifically, a CompStat-style program is associated with a 13 percent decrease in violent crime, an 11 percent decrease in property crime, and a 13 percent decrease in homicide.

And the overriding element to crime reduction, is a healthy, diverse economy.

So in many ways, the Bahamas is really behind the eight ball. We have people crying for the things that do not reduce crime. We have a police and government who are dinosaurs, klepocrats and corrupt criminals themselves who really don't want to fix the economy or fight crime. So, we are doomed and we are in a death spiral that will get worse and worse until Bahamians come to their senses and lock up the treasonous politicians who brought us here.

Tal and Birdie are perfect examples of how partisanship trumps truth, goodness, patriotism and ethics. Whenever the perfidy of the vomitus ruling PLP is pointed out, the first words out of their mouths are FNMs or Red Shirts. These people do not have a patriotic bone in their bodies, and have sold their souls to the dark side.
