It is a stupid and regressive idea to pay for a business licence based on pro-forma turnover. A flat fee is what happens in more other jurisdictions.

People like you really fascinate me. I get the same fascination by watching Trump supporters. No matter how obvious and egregious his lies are, they stand behind him. No matter what he says about sexual genitalia assault on women, they born-agains vote for him. He has been a total failure, and yet I just saw some Trump supporters say that they are amazed at how much he has accomplished since January.

In the same way, in spite of the kleptocracy of the PLP, you are an ardent fan. In spite of Swindling's drug running and criminality, you regard him as a saint. You probably voted for Crisco Butt even though he ran the country into the ground and sold our sovereignty to the Chinese. You may even deny these self-evident truths.

It would be interesting to know how and why partisan politics trumps (no pun intended) rational, cognitive reasoning.

I am willing to bet that age plays a part of it. You must be definitely over 40 and Tal would be either approaching 60 years of age or passed it.

I am always interested in the human condition and finding out the reasons why people think with their feelings rather than with their logical minds. I know that you do possess logic because you use a form of it to twist the truth to fit your worldview. The real puzzle is why?

The only reason that I am a rabid FNM fan, is because I hate coming in second or third or fourth when it comes to country pride and patriotism. The rape of the Bahamas by the PLP from independence is so egregious, that it should offend the sensibilities of every right-minded individual, and yet it doesn't. It would be interesting to know why.

I rather suspect that one of the deepest reasons has to do with race and self-esteem within the context of being Black in the Bahamas. However, one would think that simple enlightenment would chase those demons away, but it hasn't and they still linger. It is truly a conundrum. Individually we are great as a people. Collectively we made and live in a sewer hole and a cess pit, and people like you and Tal sing hosannas to the people who made it that way.

Can we get someone who can spell to write the headlines. It is suppose to hole instead of hold. Also there is no such word as representedat in the headline 5 posts down. Don't tell me all of the spellcheckers are PLP who got their jobs just before the election!!

banker says...

It is spelled khaki not kaki.

There is an 'h' in it just like 'wore'.

Not true. Several high profile weddings were scheduled to be held there on the very very first original opening day. Rooms were booked, caterers aligned the whole bit. When it all came crashing down, the travel forums, travel agent chat rooms, travel magazines and online blogs were full of the news.

Baha Mar advertised in high end magazines for the rich, and they too booked and lost their faith.

The name Baha Mar is poisoned in the travel industry, and many agents will not recommend it to their customers.

There you go again with your innuendo (must have learned it from Fweddie). Dionisio is the only possible connection to Baha Mar since he was a director and a vocal critic of the PLP theft of Baha Mar. You and I both know that is who you are talking about, and now you want to play coy, childish games. I really wish that you were a Bahamian patriot instead of PLP bloodsucker on this nation.

banker says...

Talking to yourself again. It is a sign of mental illness.

Was there not a blatant conflict of interest when the PLP Attorney General was putting her families shops into Baha Mar, and you said nothing ?????????????

May I remind you that Sarkis doesn't own Baha Mar, will never own Baha Mar (making investments in Cuba) and Dionisio was just a member of the board -- just that. He wasn't an equity owner, and there is no conflict of interest. The company is dead -- killed by you criminal PLPs.

Dionisio is doing his best to revive tourism. He is a subject matter expect and that is what is degree is about from the prestigious Cornell University. Now take your worm infested, gossiping mind and introduce it to the truth please. Honour yourself with the truth -- but I know that for PLP's, it is an impossible task because of a genetic mutation that makes you truth blind.
