Might as well say Nassau is the Bahamas and the other islands are its colonial possessions to leach off of and treat however it wants. It is time the Bahamas adopted some kinda of state or provincial system like the US or Canada. Everyone you speak too that lives on any other the other islands feel grossly ignored.

This is a very risky industry to be investing money into right now.

The kyc and anti money laundering rules in the country are choking legitimate business to death. The shear costs of compliance and difficulty opening legitimate bank accounts is ridiculous. Tell them to go whistle Dixie.

Government should have do it months ago for their people who do not have something as basic as water. How pathetic is that? The Romans had running water for their millions of people over 2,000 years ago and we cannet even barely do that.

The covid quarantine lockdown cure might just kill the patient before it's over. How many will die from hunger or malnutrition, how many will die from lack of money to see a doctor for other medical reasons or inability to buy medicines, how many will die from loosing their health insurance if they had it? Suicide from depression? How many will die from the long term socio economic affects of the lockdown?

Why is there a backlog of crediting peoples "account" if contributions were made? How many people are working in national insurance? There is no back log when they charge you a late fee if you do not make your monthly payments on time.

Is someone going to break down the door of your house and breath in your face? You can do all the things you are doing now if the government did not have one restriction in place. Staying at home, staying 6 feet away from another person, only going out when you need necessities, not going to work/work from home, wearing a mask, washing your hands etc.etc. I always amazes me at this new found discovery about washing your hands often. This is something that should have been practiced before corona and long after corona. Now you might have to have a serious conversation with your close family members and friends about close contact and their habits but, then again personal choices and risks.
You probably have more chance of dying or being seriously injured n a car accident in New Providence and that is you being affected by others but, we still go and drive our cars around. We have no rules about smoking in public and that affects others health.

The longer the lock down and the more restrictive it is the longer the lines will be when you open up something. It does not take a lot of thinking to come to that conclusion.

At some point things have to open up. For those who still want to quarantine, well quarantine and stay home for those who want to take the risk then let them out. This has to be about personal responsibility and what one considers is in their best interest and the risks involved.
