Double, double, toil and trouble;

Fire burn, and cauldron bubble.

Fillet of a fenny snake,

In the cauldron boil and bake;

Eye of newt and toe of frog,

Wool of bat and tongue of dog,

Adder's fork and blind-worm's sting,

Lizard's leg and owlet's wing.

And presto.... with magical wishful thinking we have a loan, and all of our bills are paid with extra food on our tables; all of our jobs return to repay the loan and all is right with the world......NOT!

@DWW - This is the type of thinking that does not help. We, the Bahamian people, cannot afford to buy seafood that is caught in our country. Stop the foreigners from raping our seas, both from the south and the others in the guise of pleasure cruises. You should really be ashamed for trying to raise fish prices when many cannot afford it.

@John - I have tried many times to impress on everyone that the pandemic will never be over; there will always be a mutation. Lockdowns are here to stay. Greater events are in play and this is just the beginning.

Any plans based on persons traveling here is not feasible for a few years. That leaves increased taxes on banking (which wont happen) and clawing back our natural resources (which also wont happen). Then there are the air space and shipping lane usage tariffs, which will take some time to implement if TPTB allow them.

Correct me if I am wrong, but it seems that we have nothing to generate significant income under the present conditions.

The Bahamas' economy is fubared and we are living on what is left of the fat that was put on. Soon the fat will be gone, and the situation is getting worse by the day. Lockdowns are the way to contain frustrated and angry citizens, so there will be no end to them until the economy can provide for them - which will take years. Trying to live a normal life under abnormal conditions is irrational.

Welcome to the madness of the new normal.

The testing situation is like I posted - one day you are positive the next day negative; the day after positive again ad infinitum. The politicians are locking themselves down because, in this case, they are leading by example - meaning we are expected to be locked down at any time and for as long as they see fit. Look at what is happening in the other commonwealth countries of Australia and Canada and you will see where we are headed. There is a bigger agenda afoot and the lockdowns and the destruction of the Bahamas' economy are only aspects of it.

I do not foresee any coming back from this economic destruction. We should be economically positioning ourselves to make every cent count in preparing ourselves for prolonged famine and scarcity.

despair: The complete lack of hope.
Bahamas and despair are now synonymous.

Many buzz words are tossed around to cause confusion; they are phrases like 'climate change', 'carbon foot print', 'green energy', 'global warming', 'agenda 2030' and the rest of them. The hard facts are that no town or city can go entirely green without incurring massive costs and carbon emission outlay which defeats the purpose of reducing carbon emissions. Electrically operated vehicles, refrigerators, televisions, etc will all be monitored and controlled by AI via the internet.

As usual those who can easily pay taxes are begging for a break. The government needs the funds, so if the fat cats do not pay then the funds will be squeezed out of the poor.

This is surely the Twilight Zone.

Collect the $80k and form a bubble around some farmland in Andros. Ensure that the farm can feed as many as possible, so that they can survive the impending food shortage that has already started.

On BBF needs to secure at least $80,000

Think of being in a crowded theater and someone wants to clear it out really fast. That person pulls the fire alarm and shouts fire, which should accomplish his goal. Well think of the plandemic in terms of the pulled fire alarm and the shouts - it is a way to an end ie a cover for something else more sinister. Lockdowns are here to stay until that goal is accomplished.
