2.5 billion dollare in VAT mismanaged by previous govt.....taxes mismanaged statium costs up to 42 million...water treatment plant 9 to 19 million...so much wastage at the top.....then pore people taxed to pay for other people wastage mismanagement....slackness.....an...an...an...rise in VAT across the board hurting the pore more than rich......cost of living up 1.2%...last Central Bank Quarterly Report....2,500 let go by the govt.....merchants complaining business revenues down...for the Finance Minister to simply say the pore dont want to pay is astonishing....Mind you the wealthy can buy dity lowered airplanes helicopters...party duty lowerer.....why even CAVIAR dont now have VAT.....Duties reduced and merchants not even passing it on.....pore jus cant win fer losing ...even Haitian shanty town getting to live for free in shantytowns..studies census done.....

Waste of time commenting....when remember even the bank that was accepting yet govt unregulated gambling shops money ......dod nothing...bank even was suing dis Central Bank.....waste time remembering financial consumers petitioning this Central bank calling itseld the Regulator said it cant get in the market..so embarassing...even the bank charging huge percent bank fees increases even turn round itself an helps lower the fees after Central Bank refuses customers to helps....what independence..???this Governor was clearly employed by govt to implrment their VAT taxes an thdn they made him governor...???.

In any other country in the world........when there is a problem with ....that countrys ....major industry ...there are imvestigations.....car industry an cars recalled.......problem with ground beef an ground beef recalled.....problem with car an too much pollution dey recalled.....problem with US bank an plenty investigations.....Brazil corn beef recall investigate all......

the root of da situation needs to be looked at......start with the application papers ...should be still on file....
brungs up the issue as to whether they was qualified in the firstest place......,!!!
Simple mathematical calculations.
If applicant gets home but did not qualify by bank to repay then fraud should be looked into and or perhaps bank erred in verifying application for successfull repayment ensuring failure to customer and loss to shareholders......NOT all defaults are customers fault.
One must also bear in mind other influences affecting loan approval..........
In the US there was the subprime issues that caused massive customers defaults....Wells Fargo recently fined ..perspns let go customers had accohnts opened in their names they didnt approve.....Bahamas is not immune to loans not repaid as in Resolve from BoB. The Bahamas also had highest rates of mortgage defaults in Caribbean ....Independent investigations should have warranted as they involved some 4,000 mortgage loans and almost a billion dollars of loans....untold billions more in homes....massive effects on other businesses.....AND...the same banks now redisigning...the very same forms they used to approve.....of the mortgage application process which now......many should show fewer persons being able to qualify for mortgages.....AND the massive increase in liquidity affecting overall business.....Investigations needed...!!!

Wasnt this matter of the Nations taxi plates belonging to the people of the nation ......not be continued to be passed down to generations..who now rent out the nations taxi plates......?????

Failure to diversify economy to obtain other taxable sources leaves vehicle importation,operation,ownership etc tzxes like some 42 cents per gallon gas for station operators and balance taxes for govt.....critical essential means of income....When the present govt can blame the past govt for 2.5 billion in VAT tzxes mismanaged .....and some 45 million ???I believe in shortages by Govt auditor of Road Traffic couple years ago......and noone it seems charged....makes 10,000 drop in da bucket....

Government collects taxes from many aspects of vehicle ownership....only some 42 cents goes to gas station operators..rest is taxes...vehicle importation....spare parts...licensing...inspections....car repair businesses business licences...insurance companies paying licencins....banks giving out loans for vehicles.....taxes are needed to pay to operate govt....pay back govt loans....pay ...hahahaha......
