Some good some just didnt pan out like the Kylin hotel project by McDonough east Grand Bahama. Now if you could see tings how bout some numbers dat I can play strait or box??
Whether or not Bowe wants proof of financing for the project.....well dont throw a monkey wrench into it because you do not understand the front end. In large projects huge pool of money is not just sitting in a bank earning minimum interest . Funds are tied up in variois instruments, invrstments, equities, other shareholders, companies, taxes country etcetc depending on other opportunities etc timing, markets, opportunity cost. In short you cannot just expect for you to know when and where etc which stock investment asset some broker has what to sell and will be selling and or buying to release money for funding so that someone like similar minded persons can intervene. In the Bahamas a business Rights Issue can have no buyers and noone checks, a business shares can plummet ftom $5 to sess than $1 losing 150 million shareholder value and no investigations..but the second some foreign investor wants to invest...usually starts wid the size of the jet.......
In all fairness Roc wid Doc should have done the same as Papa Ingraham being the decades experienced politician who knew the affairs he was now in charge and stopped and reviewed. Now Roc wid Doc not the decades seasoned politician as Papa Ingraham, expected certain tings to have already taken place ....and even has the evidence that this was so ,nevertheless and somehow could not bring matters to a standstill while the Bahamian citizens of Grand Bahamas suffer no food to eat, and join soup lines for sustenance...a learnable moment ....knowing a man will actually jump in the shark ocean to try and save his people. Kudos to the Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas for being steadfast in his effoets to bring relief to long suffering Grand Bahamians.
If you have a glut of cheap labour illegal or not, living under threat of deportation, inhuman slave conditions, children born but not yet 18 years to apply for citizenship getting FREE edication in govt schools, FREE clinic, depending on work permit legal or not for shelter food ,....and worker dependent on the employer as they cannot just switch the permit ....and surviving in one of the 11 shantytowns where conditions are basocally unlivable then you will expect your worker to work like superman, 10 hrs, plant 2 acres per hr, smiling yess sir, and wanting to do ...more to maintain themseleves.... until they get straight On the other side os the Bahamian worker who lives paying light bill, water bill rent, fast food where the basic expenses warrant minimum wage...now in all fairness yo the Bahamian who do not want to pergorm such jobs as maids and gatdeners etc as is commonly stated...?.....well who in this world would to work under similar conditions as the aforementioned?until the kids are 18yrs... Now with similar maids jobs, handymen, landscapers available in the large multinational hotel chains following the laws, decent stanndards and livable wage standards there are no vacancies. Very few would not want to have productivity using slave labour...Bahamians should try going into some of these shantytowns and witness the inhuman conditions.?despite the fact the inhabitants come out nicely dressed for work
