The previous story with the same above photo of the situation clearly mentions a Haitian man whose dilemna should have addressed to the Haitian Ambasasador. Frequent stories reported in the press should have been alerted the Haitian Embassy on Shirley St. of the distress of their Haitian nationals.
All Haitian Citizens should have referred to their Haitian Ambassador of their dilemna from a year ago and continuously. Where is the Haitian Ambassador and immediate dealing with their nationals distress in the Bahamas ??? Frankly, otherwise of Haitian nationals with known knowledge of Haitian Embassy non co-operation and quiet acceptance of citizens illegally taking over possessing Bahamian State lands, warrents the Bahamas National Security immediately taking action against perpetrators.
The Haitian Ambassador needs to be summons to the Bahamian Govt to explain these actions of their nationals actions going on over the past.
Very distressing and sad that young 15 year old grade 11 student and another student having conversation in GHS school corridor gets stabbed by others, 15 year old dying and other being injured.. No students on this small, small island should be stabbed in the govt school corridor, one dying in corridor. Very distressing, very sad
Agreed tribanon. In these structures repeatedly popping up in certain selected spots seems to be the quid pro quo between land owner and squatter and of someone ie employer receiving a benefit in return etc. Investigation needs to go beyond the illegal contractor and start looking for aiders, abbetors, accomplices in this disrespect of Bahamian laws.costing Bahamian taxpayers money !!!! No foreigners or group of persons be intentionally, repeatedly breaking laws, making a mockery of Bahamian or any other country's laws.
Before building these illegal timbered structures on top of loose rubble foundations they should have the common sense they are building very dangerous structures like this....if only they look that the previous hurricane and strong winds was capable of ripping off destroying the leaves and branches of all the trees that they can see. And some trees likely rotted or weakened state likely to be sent flying all over next strong winds.
Sad situation. More and more Police does not solve these situations. These situations also and usually start generally from within the communities, outside schools. There needs to be greater emphasis in the Social Workers and workers in Urban Renewal offices. More Social Workers needed and increased pay. Pandemic have brought on more stresses in communities which needs more attention which Social Workers can help to relieve. This is one of the most stressfull jobs. Social Workers needs to be getting into communities and bringing relief to situations instead of no Social Workers, without whom, leads to disaster ending erupting in all delinquent manners.
...foreign carrots in cans, bags, ochra in cans, tomato paste, diced tomatoes, puree tomatoes in cans, foreign veggies, foreign frozen fish, shrimp, bacon....this being going on for decades. Going to the political rallys an would be politicians yelling Bahamian first from one side of da mout and handing out foreign made sewn up tee shirts, plate of foreign import chivken wings with macaroni seasoned up wid foreign salt and good dose of foreign musicians music and playing. Etcetc.
Sad, again and again. Consequences of educated alternating govts of the people putting all the eggs (foreign imported) into one basket. Failure of diversification. Sad when to go into the Grocery store and spending money to buy food products coming from other countries.
...E. and just as sad is the leading to the lack of knowledge is the ...thou shall not steal....and the ...thou shall not kill...leading to the costs $100,000 armoured police cars service, two police in cars salary $18,000 each per year, $$$ in Courts, $in jail staff, $$$ for society in razor wires, burgular bars crime etc. Seems eack crime tieffing, murder etc just costs way way more than getting into areas finding solutions to this cycle.
Usually many use the 4 weeks to a month but the year has 52 weeks and 150 x 52 = 7,800 ÷ 150 = 650. Easily overlooked seems you too got steamed up, catching hell and the people paying us $210.wanting us to call it good times.
