A more obvious critical issue in this nation vigorously battling the COVID -19 Pandemic crisis is the Protocols and Vaccines in these illegal shantytowns.
Bahamas govt has to regain control of these huge areas of shantytown land with close knit populations whether they are Haitians, Bahamians, wid or widdout Papers. These areas which Bahamas govt never seem to have legally controlled, Police cars cant even go into the narrow paths, ambulances cont go into the area, no firetruck. Govt seems to lost ability to obtain Govt Taxes for Business Licence business shops etc. No Health controls, no controls pigs, animals for human consumption, Govt no honey truck to empty cesspits etc Census unlikely to include amounts of criminals escaped periodically from Haiti prison escapes and thr list of govt failures to regulate these land masses for decades. Bahamas govt needs to have testicular fortitude to regain control of these large areas which they have lost control of Bahamas govt laws and regulations for decaeds. Full bettering of Bahamas nation must be regulated control of all populated geographic areas of the Bahamas.
Covid -19 needs govt to regain control all shantytowns populated areas while massive Bahamas govt efforts are in place for the rest of the nation.
The conversation with the UN officials and the Bahamas should begin with a memorial service in the public Graveyard where there was the mass burial of the 55 unindentified persons died in the Hurricane and with great dignity buried by the Bahamas govt. The UN officials should be seated in the front seats and the service include recounts of Govt and brave persons with assistance of cadaver trained dogs recovering bodies in various of decomposition, trapped from under the acres of shantytown timbered rubble flattened like a pancake.
Added to retelling at the Memorial Service in cemetary by local Pastors of hurricane destroyed shanty town occupants survivors, dere must also be in telling of the sad demise of 55 unindentified persons, must also include the some 36 persons and more unknown numbers of human souls who seems to have just swept away into sea and bodies still remain missing. May the souls who have passed away in the Hurricane shantytown destruction rest in peace.
These egegious blunders repeatedly happening wid detained persons walking about and kept fer years an years in this enclosed facility by clearly identified staffed departments of taxpayers paying their monthly salaries, to be doing this wrong. Salaried govt people must be singled out and held responsible. They can't be getting a salaried paycheck to be doing this and the taxpaying public being stick to their incompetance causing the $10, 000, 000. bill.
This fine of some $10,000,000. (ten million dollars) to come out of the same already stressed known twice hit by vat regressive taxpaying public, is ALSO inhuman punishment to the taxpaying public. Public cannot be paying twice for this and suffering from hospital beds shortages etc, cant be bought if money gone that way. Why should peoples chillren education education some10,000,000. gone that other way, why salary increases even overtime money owed to govt nurses etc,. This definitely ain't the peoples time to be stick with this bill an the done govt salaried workers ain't be held accountable and continue getting a taxpayer monthly salary.
Bey, seems erry single year going way back, year after year after year, there are significant numbers of cases of customers eating conch and getting sick eating ...and the cause always seem to blame the weather...blame the weather...blame the weather. The solution seems obvious is to get the message out an dont go there an eat conch during the similar forecasted weather conditions. If ya defy the known warnings, then suffer the consequences an no more bellyache an annual watery diarrehoea stories some victims seeme to regale broadcasting all over the place.
Someting fishy. The govt just creating special subsidised land price Subdivision by Skyline area for professional workers to be able to buy land. If professionals couldn't do the same savings, then how come the other workers be saving money?
Truly a very important day for all. This event needs to have the excellent Bahamian artist Kishan Munroe's UK Award winning paintings of the Flamingo and fallen marines, be arranged to be on public display. RIP our bave heroes fallen in action and will be remembered forever in the Bahamas.
Very sad. The article needs to have the inevitable quick response info which all persons, Agencies, Church groups, Church leaders, neighbours, community leaders, Charitable organizations publish phone Contact numbers and places where money donations be made to bank accounts, donations of immediate supplies be made etc.
Disgraceful. How in da world the salaried employed NIB for years suing NIB contributors fer not paying NIB dues......an then using contributors money, to purchase these income producing yeild on investments properties and let them run done an rotten.
People should be fired especially when it seems NIB needing for way some time before now... to have NIBcontributors go up of their NIBcontributions to bolster up the ability for benefits to continue way in the future. Photographs showing where peoples NIB contributiong going is quite revealing over years as govts come an go.
Muddoes, if even the NIB had rented the yard for someone to sell coconut water an jelly it would have least been one cent more muchless millions ...even one coconut which would be planted giving the people one coconut tree than before with coconuts now bearing..... than than earning nothing for years an years.
All banks ought to know of the "skimming" of cards by criminals. It is the seems normal procedure for banks to do the inevitable procedure of using the banks battery of lawyers and financial deep pockets to take these cases to overwhelm the customers.
Kudos to Ms. Pinder for having ability to go the distance win the case.
It seems obvious of culprits bank photographs ibank surveillance cameras illegally withdrawing from the account are the guilty ones. The bank personnel involved should be fired and not allowed to be in financial services industry and the banking juggernauts should be given a hefty fine for the wronged actions to customer.
