The cruise ship operators have shrewdly grown their cruise ship industry times chopping ships in sections adding more, changing some areas ...until persons perishing on ships...ships denied guests evacuating....all well known this pandemic world disaster. It seems the doors wide opened to immediate rerouting tourists into the land island Hotel Controlled Managed Industry ......especially into the lesser known area like the Lucayan Area. I believe there is enormous potential in Freeport and Grand Bahama tourist industry on re emerging tourists venturing back. Better first tourist venturing on land hotels than ships massive marketing money budget to get returns...versus on land hotels with much to offer.

Totally illegal law for you Mr. Z. .....Really sad and able to buy one of few remaining tissue box to have tissue to dry my eyes at your predicament.....from rapidly getting empty tissues shelf section. Given the well trusted politicians that there are adequate grocery supplies and foreign money reserves to import goods ....you must be seated comfortable.

....when was the last time any Grocer been caught gouging and charged ????....or when last any hundreds Grocers stores been charged for any wrongs to consumers...ever...by any govt department representing consumers and public...???????

Goodness grief !!!!!!... there must be some political decorum when govt officials are doing the nation's official business. There must be some protocols in effect like hpw to behave .....what colours of dress code....what height of helm of dress below knees for females ....how females must cross legs....what types of tie men wear with suits....types of suits and colour.....comments made in public.....on behalf of nation....official rules and regulations...statesman..like behaviour...etcetcetc

Story are hundreds of times over with the failures lack of action and inaction by all for decades and avenues to minimize it.

Thank you for those men who know good broughupsy, thank those 16 year olds and young womem who do not get get pregnant and child every other year in PMH and lining up at Social Services for many children, thanks to those boys and girls who find work and did not join gangs terriorizing others enlarged costly somewhat inefficient Police, thank you for good commonsense and abstinence good churchly values not overwhelming govt schools with many children without fathers causing teachers and police to raise them, thank many single parents to be good parent and not children or themselves join gangs, prostitites, drugs, .shoplift, rob....get guns and bulk of murders by youths......sad.

.....and with a state recognized funeral...national flag at half mast...lenghty speeches...radio commentary...tv commentary....more speeches marching band...church area family friends colleagues.....

@tetelesti...you have very good points ...and from the Bahamians going abroad seeking a better life...the govt should have realized that looking at families corralling resources helping each to educate and grow sustain a child say up to graduation in Bahamas and through College abroad perhaps some $250,000..??? Or more to educate child up to 18 years old in Bahamian school....spending sacrificing out of Bahamian resources. Some 5,000 Bahamian students graduating...yearly..students going abroad..Multiplied hundreds ??? thousands students over decades.....Added to child offered opportunities to remain abroad....denies Bahamas brain powers and further pushes Bahamas downwatds having to cope with lesser educated ones...stagnating businesses...further and further....billions of dollars educated skilled talented highly competitive, highest workers.....Why does the govt allow and seems fostering conditions to continue ...affecting future of country...?????

@tetelesti the Bahamas and US have been tied together for centuries. Seems without any doubt that any third Bahamian generation family or further back can name family members living in the US. If you want to see closer tie, then just google Bahamas 2014 Stamp 15 cents Bahamas Post Office stamp with Maritime border running along from north along Grand Bahama West End...further along off Bimimi...More ways much closer ...Bahamas is joined benefitially with US and vice versa.

My...my...my...tut...tut...tut....the govt with all the highfalutin big time legal words and all the resources the govt could muster...couldn't even win the high importance cases they did...and now even seems case they sued and lost ...even turning now and sue them.

The name and shame is not fair justice of Govt over some $14M and $17M to labelling contributers ....AND....on the other hand not even naming and shaming the salaried staff Management and Board of Directors of the accountability of the NIB $'000,000,000. money in questionable seems unrecoverable un performing investments.
