Thanks to Mr. Glinton. Mr. GLinton has been fortunate to have the resources to challenge and correct the bank's wrongs to him. There has likely hundreds, perhaps thousands of '000 of bahamian citizens, customers who have been wronged by banks egregious, blatent, wrongs, which happens over years in the Bahamas and Banks hiding covering up wrongs.
There are little or no investigations to protect customers, .... or little customer complaints done or bothered to be done...because of... Banks have battery of endless lawyers to outspend customers little or no funds after ripped off, ....banks have resources to find some unheard excuse 9 to 5 staff working to cover up, ....have repeated back and forth frustrations, .....cant find documentations, ...have customers drive back and forth,..customers cant find parking, ....customers cannot even get through to phone to bank...frustration designed process...try calling..waiting...noone available,...endless waiting in line taking up whole lunch hour on line,...whole litany of excuses by banks....lawyers who find excuses to not challenge the banks fearing being blacklisted or cut off from Banks Approved Lawyers List...or .....and customers just lose...lose...in the Bahamas Banking Industry.......(and just across the border at the US Banking industry billion dollar fines, consumer protection laws, protections, investigations apply to banks doing egregious wrongs to customers)
There are no protections, little or no laws, little or no investigations of Bahamian banking to protect customers from blatent, egregious wrongs, negligence, lack of due care of customers etcetc. Mr. Glinton QC fortunate to have the resources to win his case. Former Governor General albe to get his money back, very well known businessman managed to get money back from money missing on account.

The nation has now aLmost skyrocketed into being the sixth most exprnsive nation in the world...!!!!!.. what used to be GNP per capita $32,000. now at $34,000.....who on average earns that salary....not even bachbenchh MPs..but some group earns more than that !!!!..biggest gap increased between rich and poor. ....Cost of living skyrocketed.....before 12% VAT is on item costing $1.00 was .12 cents, and same .88 crnts ...and with very same item TODAY price now risen to $3.00 then the same VAT12% is .36 cents.....same.88 cents now costing $2.12 ....!!!!!...more .!!!!!!...try comparing item prices in Miami, amazon, Walmart,...and add the costs of paying at increasing facilitating agengies....biggest difference in local stores..!!!!!

Bahamas has capabilities to get organized Department...obtain plans from University students...look towards Bahamas National Trust in control of stewartship of massive territory...BREA....get mapping dept pulling out topography maps of islands, sea, cays ....look at geographic, contours high low..etc...ldemographics population areas...economic...accrss to hospital school business area...look at best options to have survival of communities.....Actually Freeport Grand Bahama was designed to have best with industrial areas, residentiol etcetcetc....but Climate Changes never significant 70 years ago was that important.
