The VAT at 7 /2 % could have been 10 - 15% mabye more. some reverse engineering VAT + administration expenses+ a lil sometin profit........and despite criticisms by customers on cases of enormous jumps in prices......GOVT seemed to do no gouging investigations as the Businesses win and the Govt wins.....and comsumers got screwed...!!!!!...

Increase in regressive VAT taxes raking in truly does not need for NO new taxes...!!!...it is why the nation became the sixth most expensive in the world...regressive tax off the backs of the majority living in misery, high unemployment, crime, etc an pushing businesses to survive.

How can the Minister not be focusing in these very common barriers erryday use to try lessen hurricane storm sutge flood impact....??? Why even the Chinese even been creating islands land mass in the ocean.

Using land creationmethods water diversions, barriers etc will be of greatest saving impact survival for mostest Bahamians.....he should know its the majority people struggling paying VAT to pay his salary needin saving plans....than examining t.imposing he new building codes on just a few rich people who cans afford new house on stilts....!!!!!!!

Where is the missing Real Estate Appraisal of the Bahamian peoples property being sale and Agreement for Sale being drawn up for signatures..??? NOONE on the National and International Level for National and International Accounting of Sale Transactions for Corporate and other Tax purposes should have transactions without the Valuation of Properties...!!!!
