Whilst a lot of the points he makes are true , sadly since he left the UK ten years ago a lot of the same criticisms can be levelled at the modern UK, the grass is always greener on the other side of the hill!!
I left the Bahamas over 40 years ago , i grew up and went to school in Nassau and ended up at government high school, I still to a degree consider Nassau "HOME" but having watched the rising crime levels which are lead not reduced by the government ministers, I prefer to remember Nassau as it was back in the 60's, the most perfect place to grow up , will I come back? sadly unlikely as I dont want the dream of youth destroyed. It hurts me deep in my heart when I read of tourists being ripped off, holidays being ruined, and all the bad mouthing that so many express after a holiday in the Bahamas, I just hope that someone somewhere has the balls to stand up be counted and stop it before it is too late, because without tourism the Bahamas will cease to exist
