We should not be sending any teams to compete in compititions that are way over their ability. They should learn to compete at their levels then work themselves up the ladder IF they are successful. If not? Stay in your lane....

Yes Bahamas!!!

Oh... We can ALSO use the currents of the ocean... (SO... Add the solar, wind, sea, and IF/WHEN needed, fossel fuel,) we should be alright... Denmark has 15 minutes of load shedding a year, and they are almost completly solar...

Fools folly for those thinking that diesel is the "way forward!" There should have been a move toward solar and wind sources for energy a LONG time ago. And I BET (dollars to cents) that the "new electricity power plant" that is due to come online "in the near future" will continue to fail (break down,) and/or NOT generate enough power for The Bahamian public by (say) early next summer.. (IF it's online by then!!)

On Solar - an absurd lost opportunity

If after reading this article, Bahamians do not get together and MOVE the non carbon footprint energy sources forward, then we are getting exactly what we deserve!!! (Which is zilch!) To think that by putting up solar panels made consumer electricity bills to go UP, is just mind boggleing, and ALL because the government agencies dropped the ball..... And STILL are!
wake up people.. This is NOT going to get better!!!

Why bother with an enviromental study when in the end it will ALL be ignored in the "day to day running" of the place....?

buddah17 says...

Sure... Go to America. They can get (say) $70K to start. Less taxes, (say 25-35%) and less medical malpractice insurance. (For a surgeon this can run up to OVER $200K a year.) NOT to mention school loans! (For most doctors mean an additional $150K + long term loan payback...)

My father (Vernal Lee) was one of the first Bahamians to receive the Paul Harris award. He was dedicated to the Rotary cause, and if I can say one thing about Mr. Rassin, he exemplifies the profile of what a true Rotarian should be. It is an HONOR for The Bahamas to have had a fellow Bahamian head this International organization as it's president for one term. Mr. Rassin is also right in his determination to bring The Club into the 21st Century. In my opinion, he has done a great job in his term and I know my late father is looking down with great pride on Mr. and Mrs Rassin.. Job well done!
