Or was a surprise for the industrialized heavy polluter rich nations to hear little island nations brassy hard mouth and biggitiness. To stand up then paint a picture of a man with huge acreage shoveling his garbage onto an empty square lot then making him pay to clean it up. But that man on than share lot mout hard plus big boys dem know they dead wrong but try anyhow. Will they further agree next year fir COP 23? They probability will be a no show.
The entrenched political lens is a hindrance to National development and has held back even the professional potential of UB initiated programs. Pontificating works with some things but others could help.
Minister Monroe is working with what the political filters feed him, the politics of crime. We could bring in foreign experts, but a unique culture as ours has its own fault lines that you gat to be born there to know. But it is important to know the correct points of intervention and messages for it to work. Knowledge, environmental factors, hope and faith must all work together. Pastoral miracle alone has not arisen yet. They need help with that messaging and the lens needs to broaden out to those who have an understanding of our multifaceted calamity. When Civil Society does the research, present to government then we see plans in play like hot potatoes as they cannot handle its depth and bring results. Mr Monroe is correct with national intervention but the data sets of vulnerabilities are wide spread or longitudinal not lateral as in only poor communities produce criminals. There are peculiar things or data sets that Bahamian people repeat as a culture going in circles and The Minister demands intervention within these spirals that determine our way of life. Just that they keep an indifference to all on board.
Using the same people for the past umpteen years will surely bring about different results and the changes we want. At least they are 100% on the correct tract but the devilish details they refuse help with. And so, they will be preaching the same thing years from now without our willing skillset input.

Sound intelligent, coatsuits, talk total bull sh and a black man will pat you millions. We need fish we need agriculture, millions of generational false prophets The Bible preached about are still here. Imagine selling salt water to The Bahamas along with clean air, then we buy it, then some prophet runs with his picket full of money.
Government House was an international tourist attraction that featured the the person, the statue of Christopher Columbus who impacted the course of the history of man by planting the Crucifixe in the sands of San Salvador or Cat Island then blessed these islands In The Name of God. As many search for unknown well motivated reasoning to have his statue removed one can only guess a slide of history to replace the position with a statue of Sir Pindling. It would be wrong to sit his statue there by stealing of tiefing Columbus position, ignoring history that Columbus was gone two hundred years and never saw an African as slave in The Bahamas.
If they want a place for Sir Pindlings statue on the high hill next to near Fusion. At that spot all our visitors by plane would know of our history and it could remove the tourist traffic congestion of Shirley Street.
In Greece and most of Europe there are statues also, but they are artwork even though some depict sexual organs. I wonder what the goons and baboons would do those statues. Historical illiteracy shows that people who pull the levers of this great nation never attended school and have appreciation only for fleeting empty vessels. In 1492 Columbus as were others whose nations loved the trade in Indian precious gems, satin cloth, spices and fragrances sought out by sea caravan to find India by heading West. The area he found was named West India thinking he found the sea route and the people Indians. African slavery progressed with the Portuguese into the Amazon gold territory of Brazil. Two hundred after Columbus' death Africans were brought to these non performing islands. Those goons and baboons need to appreciate the unique oasestry of the history of our land. What goes around comes around and no statue will remain sacred to time and future generations of morons.
If the government data is correct and 85% give or take homes are ran by single moms, I suggest some females be hired to address mothers with teenage sons. If 85% of our population are without a lived-in father, as was said in the movie Jaws, "I think we need a bigger boat." Lil street man me in 2019 warned by OPM message that we face an unprecedented social calamity with hard lock downs. Now young poorly educated and ill equipped males and females are being told by single moms to fend for themselves as they are now adults in charge of their own bills. The World Bank also warned in early 2022 that far worst massive problems await us for decades taking into consideration early childhood socialization was missed for going into three years. As is said, "You sow the wind then reap a whirlwind." Most criminal gang crimes that occurred were based on control of street Marijuana sales. Only government control of sales will stop this street butchery. Though every Pastor is against Marijuana legalization but for decriminalization, it leaves billions of dollars on the streets in the hands of gangsters. Marijuana has a trajectory of cause and effect from dangerous to good based on age from pre-teen to those on deathbed. While gambling and cocaine use have an immediate negative effect on finances and depression on attempting to stop, Marijuana dependency may take years to lock the world of care and working spirit out. Because most users begin during teen years we have work force chilling out addiction. Imagine persons who should be learning just lazing in front of books. That alone crashes their future. It has been a problem for decades as the war on drugs has failed to the point that the USA Federal Government is also on the verge of joining States law on decriminalization and Legalization. As in Canada education should be a must with the first messaging rule being, "If you don't smoke don't start." Smoke, chocolate or sweets based edibles, vape, all impacts the user based on THC or CBD levels where the former gives you the high feeling and the latter out of your mind relaxation. And in the relaxation lies the problem and potential dependency and abuse.
