Ironic that South Street Magistrates' court was bombed days after Malcolm Nance made this false claim, then corrected himself. Like someone is trying to say "Wait dude! You're right! We do have terrorists here!" Smh

Details about the device should be released. Citizens should know the truth about weapons existing in this country. This should not be viewed as just an ignorant, ineffective crime. This is not something the regular Bahamian thug would do. Someone did this to send a message to law enforcement.

There is no hope of the FNM and the DNA "joining forces" after the strong statements made by Mr. McCartney. Both parties need to work tirelessly from now until election 2017 in order to contend to be the next Government of The Bahamas. May the best party win!

RBPF deal with such hardened criminals on a regular basis and they have the difficult task of protecting themselves while attempting to bring these criminals to justice. It is important for citizens to co-operate with them as they carry out their duties. The officers could have handled this situation better but it is understandable based on the story why they reacted the way they did. It's hard to be rational when under pressure. Unfortunate!

I agree with you Abaconian. Everything Mr. Pintard said about politics in this country is true. However, because of the recent scandal, I question his motives. It seems to me that he refuses to go down without a fight. The DNA has been preaching this message since before last general election, so what were his views then? I understand that sometimes people's views change but timing is everything.

We read these stories in the newspapers and hear about them on news broadcasts regularly so it is easy to become desensitized. It is not normal for a man to be shot after being robbed of a cell phone. Is there a solution to the problem of crime in this country? Why are the hearts of our young men and women so cold?
