@Rory in any economy there are always more workers then owners ,the fallacy we push here is we can all be entrepenuers ,,that is not factual ..You may not remember when the Gov ,built and owned hotels , its was a total disasters that nearly ruined the industry and the hotels ended up being sold for pennies on the dollar .

You can buy shares in many Bahamian companies over the years ,Cable bahamas ,Super value ,the old city market ,the new port , Atlantis was once publicly traded , as was new povidence development company ..Buy any ? Select Bahamians always got shares as the cost of the foriegner doing business here ,Tiger in commonwealth ,D Rolle in the old ISland seafood .The biggest expense any of these foriegn firms ,hotel etc ,have is payroll and electricity ,which stays here Of the 8000 or so workers at Atlantis only 93 are non Bahamians...

2JOHN ,good Lord ,did you really type that last sentence .I F anyone serves me ,black ,white ,purple and the service is good i tip very well .I have been a bread boy ,waiter ,bartender , bellmen and i know how it is . I now deal w/ tourist as a boat captain and when i do get tipped and do well i make sure the mate was tipped or split w/ him and give something to the guy who maintains the boats .I WOULD hope i am tipped on my service ,additude and knowledge ,not color of skin .I find it hard to believe you have brought tipping to a racial issue ..geez dude your out there ..
