And the third party will be made up of people like the other two ,,this is us, these are our mores and values ,, at least w the FNM we get things new Nassau airport , roads , ports ,post office etc
@ Birdie ,,Interesting who you bring up as giving a character reference , and your support of the PLP chairman .How do you fell about GLBT rights in the Bahamas and what is your take on gay marriage ?? I find all u homophobic PLPs that go round spouting the bible and saying God made Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve quite hypocritical , but then its par for the course we had gay people protesting the gay cruise lmao
At least under the FNM we get something ie A post office .When the PLP does business w their friends and cronies we get nothing ,btw 2012 and 2017 .Unless you consider 500 million walking out the front door of BOB and unleashing the robber baron numbers man on the poor people for a pittance in tax an infrastructure project
Bahamasair subsidies pale in comparison ,,you must be joking .Every year they get a minimum of 20 million from the treasury , they are grossly overstaffed , basically a tax payer job program . I think to date Bahamasair have cost the Bahamian public 500 million dollars .Delta , American are not exempt from any taxes and fees .Only two airlines had any concessions , Air Canada was paid 3 miilion a year by Sandals to help w Sandals Emerald Bay in Exuma get going and Sunwing and the hotel in GB got some concessions to bring in guest there .Don,t let your foreign bias lead you to distort the facts .
HE got 200 million for half a company that was running on a platform not compatible w any other net works ,,Back then you could go all over Nassau and buy 20 dollars of minutes for ten or five dollars from people in BTC that were ripping off the punch in numbers .Where do you get your evaluation that 200 million for half was only 25% market value ..It was a sh#tty as BEC back then ,,dam since the late 70,s we can,t even keep the lights on !!!
Actually this article , if it is true , is about Liberty buying the rest of BTC , not us buying it back .I realize you don,t like Minnis or Turnquest but our slide to the bottom did not start in the last three years , we have been unable to keep the lights on since the late 1970,s .You keep going on about quality canidates ,,this is us ,,they did not come from mars ..Pick fifty upper level Bahamians and you will get the same level of corruption , at least under the FNM we get things , airport redone , roads , harbor dredge , post office,,the biggest project the PLP did from 2012 to 2017 was about 500 million walking out the front door of BOB ,,oh yeah and a 20 million dollar a year carnival w a Trini headliner
Ohh you mean like the warm fuzzy family feeling BEC gives you , and don,t give me nonsense about the contract the PLP signed w Powersecure messing it up .Powersecure was only involved for about four years and we have not been able to keep the lights on since the late 1970 ,s .If your nationalism makes it alright for you to accept mediocre ,, more power to you sitting sweating in the dark , I prefer to think critical and have options for my retirement of how and where I will live .
And under the PLP Batelco was not compatible w any other networks while D Bartlett was using BTC buying power , our tax dollars , to wheel and deal and sell telecoms services to TCI etc ..Thank God Papa got 200 million for half a telephone company running on an outdated platform ..Who owned the port before ??could Birdie buy shares in Union dock or John Alfred dock ??
You prove the Dunning Kruger effect w the majority of you post . Our nationalism gets in the way of critical thinking as our faux religious believes get in the way of personal responsibility . Your name calling raises no emotions in me at all but tells me all I need to know if I was ever in protracted negotiations w you .
