something seems a little odd ,i know our electric rates are extremely high b/c BEC is over staffed and won,t go on a shift system ,but how the hell does JCC run up a 3 million dollar bill in what 3 to 4 years ,i didn,t think they had a 500 room hotel , and even if they had 4 to five machine shops and supply yards ,,3 million in 4 years ,, i don,t get it ,,out in the field they use big generates for light ,,power etc ,,i think coming in to independance they decided to lay off the union and badmouth the foreign firms ,,

we all cry about spare the rod ,lets hang murderers etc ,,bring back old time values ,and then when someone disicplines our arrogant ,rude ,and increasingly dangerous lil darlings we get up in arms ,,I dated a costa rican teacher that was brought in to teach /spanish /french at c r walker .On parent teacher day she was telling a parent about their childs behavour , a Bahamian teacher told her for her safety not to tell the parents their kid is bad ..i asked her surely you have "urban kids in costa rica " she said the difference is the kids in c/r are not as arrogant and you can reach them ,,in nassau she said basically the hatians kids are the ones you can teach ...we as Bahamians have an unearned sense of pride when a good amount of our good fortune comes from Castro taking Cuba and the U/S embargo ..

when as a country you produce very low skilled workers faster than your economy can aborb them ,,ie jamaica ,haiti ,crime will continue to rise ..we are to the point where the civil service can no longer absorb our birthrate ..when single mother of 5 w/ 3 different baby daddys is the norm crime will increase ,,look to the countries that have stable birth rates ,or populations ,,crime is less ,,we are simply produceing more babies then our economy can absorb ,,then we have a failing educational system that produces near illeterates in a service economy ,,crime has to increase ,,,its pure mathmatics we have the examples through out our region ....

all so it is factual that in places like jamaica etc , the resorts are becoming more and more "closed all inclusive resorts " b/c of the guest having bad and sometimes dangerous encounters w/ the locals ,we are becoming that way to ,,geez we are afraid of our "lil darlins " what do you think mr and mrs smith from peroria would feel on PI w/ a big shiny 357 stuck in their face ..
