Actually we the people of The Bahamas get more in the treasury w VSR running the airport , ADP running the port and CWC running BTC ,,way ,way more its not even close ..Owning half of BTC we have been getting twice the revenue in the treasury ,,about the same for the airport ..Friends ,lovers and cronies theef too much and there are too many unqualified people on the payroll when gov ment runs it .Don,t forget the shipping companies ,Bahamian ,put up a total of 21 million building the port ,and anybody could of bought shares for as little as five hundred dollars ,,public service workers even got a special deal where it the 500 could be deducted from the pay in installments ,,The shares have tripled and more

you can by shares in the port ,and it was the government at the time intention to let people buy shares in BTC

Actually the treasury gets much more revenue out of both BTC and the Airport now ,and after 30 years of a dirty ,sh#thole of an airport ,I thank God we went into public/private partnership w VSR .like our cruise port ,the airport was an embarrassment under government control ..both governments ..There is just too much lovers ,family and friends under government control to run the port or the airport .

Any Bahamians could of bought into Arawak cay and the government of the day made small purchase shares available to the public ,they even made special provision for public employees to buy five hundred dollars of shares .If bought the 500 would have been worth 3 to 4 times that and if you kept rolling over for more shares ,,in 20 years your 500 dollars would have built you a nice chunk of money ..

It is us that went hat in hand to beg and borrow ,no one put a gun to our head .Since independence w/ Cuba closed to the biggest tourist market to the north we have taking in enough money not to borrow one red cent ,except for vary very large infrastructure projects ., however b/c large scale corruption , out and out teefin from the treasury , contracts to unqualified family ,lovers and friends every year we have to beg and borrow hat in hand just to keep the lights on and pay the bills ,,

Yes b/c of the Great Bahama bank , I took the astronaut ,Mr Kelly out on a boat tour when he visited one of the family Islands .However tourist don,t see The Bahamas from space they see it from there hotel room ,and more and more are renting home from arbnb etc that are owned by second home owners from the U S and Canada, they see it fromtheir chairs on the beach , etc ..As far as sun sand sea ,,there are many places just like us ,,a lot of the big money is going to Tand C now ..Check out Cayo coco in Cuba on the net ,,tell me that does not look exactly like us ,,the Exuma cays ,,I,m been all over the as a boat captain ,, like I said tourist ain,t looking from space ,,they are looking from a beach chair and want good service

Actually if you circle the globe at the same Latitude many places look exactly like us .Have you ever been to Isla mujeres off of Cancun , you would swear you are in The Bahamas .Mexicans coming from there to here would think they are home .Fuji ,The Seychelles .Damm Cuba has 4000 cays that look like ours ..That's part of our problem we have been told we the only ones w/ clear waters ,white beaches etc that we think we can give crap service at outrageous prices and people will keep coming ..The DR is kicking our ass in stop over ,,we are doing the same numbers we did in 1997 ,,we just gouge our guest more ..No one told us to borrow one red cent ,,w the money we took in since independence we never had to , but when we theef ,squander and loot about half the money that comes into the treasury you got to go hat in hand begging ,,

It was not unchecked Haitian illegals , we have been selling our country to them since independence ,What political general did not have 10 to 50 Haitians on permit as indentured servants kicking back to them .How many immigration officers shook then down every Friday ,payday .
