We’re taught growing up that ‘We the People’ have the power to affect radical change in the voting booth. But this is another fairy tale. Voting only changes the players. It doesn’t change the game. The Cubans must be leisurely sitting back just waiting for us to collapse and then they will warmly welcome the tourists we have thrown away.
It IS a part of the US in a subtle way. At the end of the day the government here will (discreetly) do anything and everything it is told to by Washington...

This is a HUGE mistake on Christie's part, and it will come back to haunt him. What is he going to say to some other (poor) Bahamian 'in difficulties' who comes a-knocking on his door asking for assistance?
Another Government cock-up! So sad! Cuba really is a very viable and attractive alternative, and I guarantee that way more than 50% of our tourism will head in that direction.
