If Algernon Cargill was fired, without an audit, the story would be political victimization. i am a tax payer and it is worth the money to expose the corruption that was going on at NIB. Now, there should be an audit at the Department of Immigration as I know for a fact someone who got status before the election and was allowed to vote. But the PLP is too chicken to expose the FNM's corruption. I don't know why. It is an absolute mystery for me. For a supposedly educated person, Mr. Cash is really not making any sense. He should check his history before making stupid statements such as the examination of NIB’s books was “by far the most expensive political witch hunt” ever seen in the history of the Bahamas. The FNM and the Republicans are masters of spinning a story and deflecting the issue. The problem is, the common man has more sense. Anyone with half a brain can see what was taking place at NIB is wrong. You don't have to be an FNM, PLP, or DNA to come up with that conclusion. It's just stupid to defend corruption wherever it occurs. No wonder everyone think they can get away with stealing in this country. The powerful executives are doing it and no one goes to jail.

I would like to know which company conducted this survey with 84% of Bahamians backing BTC. This must be a joke. Since Cable and Wireless took over, BTC has been a complete mess!! And yes, they have to be raking in the money because once ago, you could actually call a cell phone from a LAN phone. You try it now. Cell to cell! Go figure. Not to mention the dropped calls. Now instead of making one call, you have to make several calls to reach the same person or to deliver one message. No amount of pr with sports donations will fool me. Cable and Wireless needs to pack up and get out of this country.

That is such a stupid comment. PGC won!!! It doesn't matter by how many votes. A win is a win. What is most important is that the majority of people voted against the FNM. By the way, I have no doubt, if we lived in another part of the world, HAI would be a dictator. He had all the makings. The best thing that he can do now, is to ask God to release the hatred and jealously that he has for Perry. Otherwise, he will be a miserable man until God calls him. He just has to accept it and move on.

lamech johnson - "The murder, which became the country’s 75th for the year, surpassing 2008’s total by one.." Really now, 2008? I don't know who these reporters are, but they can't be Bahamian. It's almost as if you guys are praying for the murder rate to exceed last year's figure... Yes... that would be 2011 in case you don't know. People are dying, Tribune. Stop the politics. election is over. The police are doing an outstanding job. At least try, I know it's hard, but find a way to support them.

I am so proud of the Commissioner of Police and the entire Police Force. I know personally one police officer who is involved in this project, and he is working tiredlessly to make this program a success, and by extension, this country. Hubert Ingraham just needs to go away! Seriously. Save whatever dignity he has left. The police is on board, the church supports it, the majority of Bahamians who supported the PLP wanted it, so Mr. Ingraham and his bunch of yes men just need to shut up! Let's go Commissioner Greenslade. We gat work to do. No time for foolishness.

And that's exactly why the country is in such a mess. Everyone sat there memorized by this man and no one had the guts to stand up and tell him that the train was running off the track. Just yes master. Maybe someone should tell a psysho what to do. I 'm sure the families of the persons slaughtered in a theatre the other day would have wished someone told a psycho what not to do. Or Hitler, or Kadahfi. I guess "No one is Greater" but wait, maybe God? The electorate was pretty clear on who they want as leader. Perry Gladstone Christie!!!

Lady, get over it. Hubert Ingraham sounded like an idiot! You should have viewed the tape before writing this stupid editorial. Hubert Ingraham needs to look to the United States and take the example of President Bush. Go in peace!! Save the little bit of dignity he has left. I don't know which country you live in, but there are just as many people who love Ingraham as those who can't stand the sight of him. It would serve him well to go into retirement.. write a book or something. This angry attitude makes him look like a crazy psycho.

It is soooo sickening that some people must always turn everything into politics. Is it humanly possible to just simply reflect on the great deeds of this man and give him the respect he deserves?? Jesus. I don't know how deep this hatred goes, but it cannot be healthy for those of you who harbor these thoughts. I am a proud Long Islander, and my condolences goes out to the family of this great man. May his soul rest in peace.

If you believe that The Tribune prints facts, then good for you. I just happened to have read a retraction of a letter that was printed, I believe, a day before the elections containing allegations against the current DPM. I would submit, the intention being to cause the PLP the elections. But alas, the Bahamian people were not fooled this time around. They went straight to the polls and voted the FNM out. I guess the press no longer has the power in The Bahamas to influence an election!!! Bravo Bahamas.

You mean the former Prime Minister? I guess stupid is as stupid is.. The current Prime Minister is being disrespected every day by you people who cannot accept that he is, in fact, the democraticly elected leader of this country.
