VAT is not the answer to our problems. We need to collect the outstanding taxes, close the loopholes in the existing tax system and cut back on wasteful government spending, kickbacks and crony contracts. But for that to happen we need a trustworthy government......... sigh

The PLP will not just put the last nail in the economic coffin but also the law & order coffin of The Bahamas. 600 promotions in a 3000 man police force that has serious morale and ethical challenges. Promotion is not the answer, removing the 25% 'bad apples' is the answer ............. but do we really expected that to happen???????? And they are hiring more of them every day!!!!!!!!!! It is quality not quantity that we need in the RBPF.
HAI is a doctor and a damn good one. However, a doctor and a politician cannot co-exist in the same vein. One will have to dominate ......... if HAI the doctor dominates, he will not be a successful political leader ............. winning Killarney is not the litmus test for being a successful national political leader ............... its like Perry winning Centreville (a no-brainer). HAI is in a political comfort zone that inhibits him from appreciating the bigger picture. How many seats can his political influence win for the FNM? Thats the litmus test. If HAI returns as FNM leader, the FNM may only win in 2017 because of dissatisfaction with the PLP, not confidence in HAI.
Does Shell have a monopoly on supplying BEC with fuel??????? Does the Government have any say in the cost of fuel sold in The Bahamas??????? We need to know!!!!!!!!!!
Yeh Jimmy just like you ....... screwing da maid and all. Not a good messenger. But I agree with the idea. Thats why we have to get rid of the Haitians, Bahamian familiies are having one/two children and Haitians having five/six children on average.
Corrupt police and inefficient courts equals disaster. Thats where we are today. I agree with PROUD, we have very little choice now. Some other options can work if we take it seriously ..... education, home training, and jobs for starters.
