Does anyone notice how many of these 1970s PLPs have resurfaced to hold high offices as consultants, advisors, chairmen or ambassadors in this present PLP government ............. about 200 of these old guard PLPs suck up probably at least $20 million + perks while young Bahamian professionals are unable to get any opportunities except janitresses
As long as the government controls 80% of the land in The Bahamas....... there will never be economic progress in this country ............... no land reform, no economic progress
The PLP crafted these House rules under Alfred Sears ........... the powers of the PAC should be clearly stated ............ why was it necessary to have the AG Office interfere in the operation of PAC??? This seems to be nothing more than a political hatchet job by the PLP old guard ......... SAD.
BTW ........... where can we find these Parliamentary rules on-line??????
The PLP said that the fnm foia (2012) was not any good .............. Perry gave Fitzie (the cover-upper) responsibility to put together FOIA 2.0 ............... maybe this will be as ground-breaking as his high school diploma standards .............................. 4 BJC "D" passes
Hubert Minnis needs to launch a court case to challenge the judicial power of the Attorney general regarding these matters that she has ruled on: bamsi, vag, rubis and now PAC because these seem to be an abuse of the ideals of democracy.
Does the Constitution give the AG this kind of carte blanche power to silence the democratic processes of transparency and accountability of Parliament as well by demanding resolutions passed by the majority of MPs (of which the AG has a vested interest)???????????
Algernon Allen and Mother Pratt are shameless ................ their behaviour during this saga leaves much to be desired of so-called retired senior politicians of our country
