Long Islanders better step in and try to save their beloved island before it becomes another Acklins, Crooked Island, Long Cay, Rum Cay, Ragged Island or Mayaguana ............................ depopulated, financially starved, socially dead and culturally barren.

Its a sad state of affairs going on.......... on a once proud, bustling and productive island.

Then the foreigners will have another island to take by hook or crook from us.

This is a damning story .............. I am sure the O/C on the island would have to answer to this. But I am sure that this story can be repeated on ALL of the islands of The Bahamas. There are too many lousy police officers ........ and other civil servants.
One of the major reasons why our government system is not respected or feared by the average citizen.................... the face of the government is not well represented to the public.

The numbers bosses are the major political financiers ............... they can do as they please and the politicians have to be quiet ............... we have seen this situation play out before in the 1970s-1980s. It didnot end well then ................ nor will it end well now (next 5-10 years).

My sentiments exactly!!!!!!!! They have made their chunk of change over the last 100 years.
