In my opinion, neither Minister showed any genuine sympathy. Their concern is upsetting the Americans! Don't you think every well- meaning person (American or otherwise) would feel outrage and sympathy for the victim of an unprovoked attack? At least make mention of the situation from that perspective! Good gracious!
Horrible! So sorry for Harold who is the consummate gentleman at all times. I hope our govt takes action and Harold brings lawsuit against the restaurant and perpertrator! Best wishes.
Better pray the cruise ships stop advising the passengers not to get off in Nassau as it is unsafe. Some heed the warning and pass it on to their friends.
Can someone explain why we still pay a fuel surcharge? Is this done in other countries? I recall it was applied as an emergency measure during the oil crisis some years ago and was supposed to be removed when the situation no longer existed. Here we are still paying the excess and having VAT added to make it hurt even more! Our burdens continue to increase but relief is nowhere to be seen.
Do we have a Search and Rescue division in the Force? If not, we need one! Such a division would work within defined parameters and established protocols when required. Training would be ongoing and procedures initiated to make use of established international examples where necessary. We must continue to ensure close relationships pertain with our friends and neighbours in the event of serious situations, e.g. BASRA and US Coastguard.
Exactly! The main difference is that the information is presented in the sunshine and with the facts. Nothing was done underhandedly. Symonette is a wealthy businessman and has many interests as would other persons in the same position. He must have prepared himself for the criticism so let the negatives have their say. No problem with that. The venue seems to have what is needed including a satisfactory working environment. Get on with the move and let the postal workers dazzle us with superior customer service! Best wishes to all.
Now is the time to roll out a National Get Healthy programme. Obesity is epidemic in our country; we must improve the individual levels of health. Look around at the numbers of adults and children, professionals and ordinary citizens bursting out of their clothes...Spending almost one billion dollars annually in health care is too costly for us. I dread to see the outcomes when this new Catastrophic Insurance scheme kicks in! That $1,000 will soon escalate making it very difficult to maintain a satisfactory level of care for us plus adding to the burden of taxation. Let's prepare for this by dealing with root causes now. The health of our nation is in our hands and we must do the right things now not later!
