Roc on Doc, focus on the vision. The vision is never clear to anyone other than the visionary. These people are just 'gonna' have to cry and complain for the next 4 years!
Couldn't have agreed with you more. It is also my hope that the government stays on track with trying to bring fiscal responsibility. Peter Turnquest is looking at 3 years, while that is hard, it is completely attainable. It will take serious adherence to the targets and a serious wake up call for the Bahamian public.
Sadly, I do not think that the wider public is even aware of how close we are to ruin. They choose to listen to political pundits and follow the silly personalities on social media.
Couldn't agree with you more. How do we expect to pay for all of these services that we feel entitled to? Any right thinking Bahamian should be advocating for fiscal responsibility to ensure that our economy remains strong and viable. Yes, 12% is tough to shallow and may be unbearable for some, but I guarantee, if we live within our means, save our money and stop spending unnecessarily to keep up with others, we would be in a better place financially as individuals.
You people never cease to amaze me. I follow Marlon Johnson and his posts are informative and provide information on the government's financial plans. He is always accessible and readily answers questions that people frequently ask. People take what he says and put a lot of spin on it.They blow his words out of proportion and make a big deal out of nothing. My goodness! when will Bahamians grow up.
TAX the SIN out of all of em! Make this country better. It's about time a government does what is right for the stability of this country. Must we continue to take ourselves down the road of no return. Mr. Turnquest, you guys have 5 years to fix it! The bahamian people don't have to vote you back in, but you would have done what is right. History will tell your story, not these crooked political hacks!
I couldn't agree with you more. Many Bahamians are so politically motivated that they refuse to see the end results of what Mr. Turnquest and his team are trying to do. Who wouldn't want fiscal responsibility for their country? The ignorance just baffles me. To Mr. Turnquest and crew, do what it takes to preserve and strengthen the Bahamian economy. That is what I elected you to do.
Geez people, you ought to be ashamed of yourselves! Can you lay off politics for a few minutes while we honor those who sadly lost their lives! This story is about them and the Bahamian workers who united unselfishly to save the lives of all impacted. Give it a break! Stop using politics to divide an already wounded nation!!!!
