@Tal, tried to read your dripple, but after the Hubert Ingraham bashing and how Minnis was in Cabinet and did do nothing. Got bored and decided to just tell you to be quite.

At the end of the day, when this government also, can't handle crime we talk about real solutions.

Madam Editor, I really do not believe that the minister ever had on his rose coloured glasses on the issue of crime. Politics is just a dirty game and this is just how we have let the players gain an advantage over one another. While any party is in government, they keep calling on the opposition to join them in a bi-partisan approach to crime, then just like the current Minister of National Security they then want to take the credit for any slight decrease in crime.
While crime is everyone's concern, it is even more so the government's primary concern. PLPs were all about before the election putting up billboards, while their propaganda machine (whether directly or indirectly) through an unscrupulous website, blamed Tommy Turnquest for every murder that occurred in the country, with sensational headlines like "Blood runs through the street". As far as I am concerned on this one, in the words of one of our late Prime Ministers "either cut fish or get the hell out the boat".

The PLP gave the impression that they would stop crime, so ladies and gentlemen of the government, get to it, I'm waiting for results.

Tal, if I didn't know you have a female fetish with Turner, I would not just skip to the end of your rant, just to tell you to be quite. I have stop even trying to read your dripple.

I have been following this issue for some time now, and my only question to all those people who seem to blog almost daily, how would you feel if a forensic audit was being done on you fand your financial affairs, the information compiled, the report and conclusions submitted; then the person performing the audit asks you (who is supposed to be the person under investigation) to come in and provide feedback. The report is completed, why ask me now.
To me, that is like the police charging me with a crime, taking me to court, presenting me to the judge and asking the judge to give me jail time; all before the police pulled me in for questioning. Then when i get to court, I tell the judge that I have 100 witnesses including the Commissioner of Police that would testify that I was at an award ceremony persenting the Prime Minister with an award for his work with Urban Renewal 2.0.
@Collin, I agree with you, only in the Bahamas under a PLP government, but remember as TAL keeps pointing out, Hubert was the dictator.

The comment I find interesting is "He added that his administration will seek an explanation for the newspaper’s condemnation." I really wonder what this means for that Newspaper. Since when does a government tell you they will use their power to demand an explanation for why an editorial choose a certain position. I guess he expected them to consult with him before the piece was published.

@Boldtruth, what does voting NO have to do with this case. Your despicable for suggesting it. It just goes to show how low the Yes people will get to convince people that they should put their faith in gambling or gaming.

Sorry Mr. Luther, but your scare the yes into me will not work. 1, Even with a yes vote, other methods of taxation are still needed to fight the rising national debt. 2. The Florida Lottery is owned and operated by the US governmet, not a few single individuals. 3. Regulating the Web Shops will not cause Moody's or S&P to change our credit rating, as the credit rating is based on many factors. 4. Only if there is truely honor among thieves should the government really expect that $40 million for these illegal operators.

Our "No Horse In The Race" Prime Minister, is just trying to make those opposed to the vote yes campaign feel bad for not supporting the number's man. These people knew the business they are working for was illegal when they took the jobs. If the law comes knocking at the door, they know what time it is. I feel bad for the people i will be voting against in the vote yes campaign, i really hope that they will find gainful employment, but i refuse to be held hostage by this sympathy and not do what i think is right in our great democracy.

Anyone that believes that refusing to vote "No" or spoiling your ballot in protest against the FNM, will do anything but cause the vote yes people to win, is simply ignorant. The vote yes people are praying that they can convince anyone planning to vote No to stay home so that they can win. During the last election do you remember any of the constituencies telling you the number of protest votes cast?

It is amazing how it depends on which political party is in charge that ideas are accepted by their supporters. I remember this same argument on school policing some years ago and the public consensus at that time seemed to be no police in schools. Now police in schools is the only option, but to be truthful I have not heard of much violence in the school system the last few years. In fact the last incident that I remember was not a student, but a parent. Anyway, we will see how this situation will work out. I just hope if it does not, the current PLP government does not blame anyone else.
