Driving the country broke and doing a terrible job of making electricity. Who are the fools out there that still think of the BEC as a national asset that must be clung on to
I want to know how many work permits for Chinese construction workers have been pre-approved for this project. Unemployment at an all time high and nobody is saying nothing about how many Bahamians are gong to benefit from this project ??
All I know is that Pinocchio's nose is getting longer when he feigned disappointment at Bahamar staff getting laid off. Hard to imagine after all these years of PLP banter about Bahamianisation that they have sold this country out to the biggest crooks they could find. Communists at that. Nothing short of treason.
Mrs Maynard-Gibson said the plant was illegal in the Bahamas, adding that laws against its use will continue to be fully enforced.........................uuuum....that is until they start selling weed in the numbers shop....then it's above the law !
I drove past the construction site and all I could see was Chinese construction workers. Chinese workers doing simple stuff like digging holes and tying steel right on the side of Bay Street in plain view. Not even like they hiding it anymore. How can anyone feel sorry for an unemployed Bahamian when we all standing there watching and letting this go on ?
Talk about a useless waste of air he breath. The guy can't even come up with a decent euphemism. "Bay Street is like a dying center" What is that ?
The minister of tourism's number one priority should have been the rejuvenation of Bay Street and all he can do three years later is blame "the infiltration of foreigners" and talk about a "dying center". How did this guy become a member of parliament and made a minister ? This government is so bad it has got to be a bad dream.
Don't forget $3 billion of the FDI numbers came in the Chinese left hand and went out with the Chinese right hand. China State Owned Bank - Ismirlian - China State Owned Construction Company. By taking Ismirlian out of the picture the PLP has made sure there is virtually no trickledown in that equation......oh....accept the trickly in to Perry Pocket
It's all really just the government borrowing more money to pay off debt. Only a matter of time till devaluation and Greece style austerity with these clowns running the economy in to the ground so they can stuff their pockets
