The old Bahamian saying goes like this; "Talk is cheap, but being related to a high ranking politician buys you enough influence to be given a large grant of Crown Land free and clear. " Have I remembered that correctly, or was it "money buy land"?

"Shot in the back of the head."? Well, obviously most all of us have accidentally shot someone in the back of the head; probably several different people several times......sigh.

Any comment from Birdie should not be taken seriously, if Fred was not paying her then she would be out of a job....jus sayin'......

The Bahamian sport of “Tossing The Mace”, .
Can cause those who govern to “lose face”. .
Whether Shades of blue, or shades of red, .
The cause lies on the Speaker’s head. .
No longer a thing of Black or White, .
Flag waving Adrian doin’ what’s right. .
The Speaker should show no bias at all, .
Otherwise that government might just fall. .

Any comment fron Birdie can be automatically discounted. It is not real but a paid plipplop troll in action earning his stipend.

Just how does this company pay for such great largesse? Bear in mind that all their income comes from government awarded contracts paid for by the taxpayers? Just asking.

Junkanoo all kerpunkled up, .
The committee awarding the Junkanoo cup. .
Think they the boss of this parade, ,
It turning to political charade. . .,
Cos Ryan thinks its all his call, .
While Trevor thinking not at all, .
Except his bro has plenty political clout, .
So his group entitled to Rush out. .
Sigh.

hrysippus says...

All I wanna know is if Trevor, t he Junkanoo group leader, is the brother of Phil? The 2,000 year old saying goes: "Caesar's wife must not only be above reproof, but also above the appearance of reproof." This comment may be above the people who graduated with a below D- grade point average from High School. Those people, please ignore my comment.....Sigh.

It is sometimes easy to spot the people who did not go through the 185mph winds of Dorian in Abaco, probably by the way they try to demean others who do not agree with the right wing propaganda that they believe after listening to too much far right media.

It was never considered at the time but perhaps the most compelling reason for The Bahamas to have remained under British rule is that our 400,000 Bahamians would have had somewhere to relocate to when the country, as seems inevitable, ceases to exist. A USA ruled by Elon and Donald is surely not going to welcome us as immigrants.
