and again the elected politicians have sleeked to restrict the very people they have been elected to serve. Mitch Hanna was a good example when he tried to include in the constitution a clause that would only allow citizens of the Bahamas to move from one island within the Commonwealth to another with government permission, thankfully the British Foreign Office would not countenance such an abrogation pf power to elected officials. The so-called spy bill has so much opportunity for evil people in positions of power in our government to use the information that will be then entitled to collect for nefarious ends. Fred Smith has consistently warned us of the danger inherent in this bill. I hope we listen.
With regards to the comments of the AG, I may be wrong, but he seems to have an issue with the way in which the courts have acted regarding immigrants, seems a little strange to me since he is a very important part of the system he may be criticising.

Pouryourwine, good post, so many of the other posters are so obviously paid by unsavoury plp operatives to spout thoughtless cliché, after cliché as an alternate to reasoned arguments.

The issue of intoxication remains unaddressed. A woman cannot legally give her consent if she has drunk alcohol and is considered intoxicated. The reality in many relationships is that consensual conjugal relations occur after a drink or two. Each of these encounters will leave the husband liable to prosecution with no available defence. Perhaps the government just ban sex completely, add a little fricassee to it all?

What maintenance are you talking about? The company who came to survey my house certainly did talk about the cost and the life expectancy of the batteries. I wonder just where you are getting this information that you disseminate so freely.

" it cannot be misused to spread propaganda, create hysteria and perpetrate deliberate inaccuracies to accomplish a specific agenda"
I wonder who determines this?
Human Rights, Who needs them anyway? All those Chinese nationals seem happy except for the ones in jail. Look at Russia, great country to live in, as long as you keep your mouth shut. We should trust our leaders implicitly, they have always been totally honest and honourable, none have ever done anything corrupt or told a lie. Human Rights, Who needs them? Well. me for one.

self proclaimed Christians can be so ridiculous. Some seem to believe that God sat down with a pen and paper and wrote out the Bible. Half the Bible is the religious text of Judaism but their interpretations, made over centuries, are ignored in favour of some ignorant charlatan on TV trying to get their money. This poor soul who was suffering such mental anguish is not in hell. May his family be comforted and a curse on the overly self-righteous who say otherwise.

The investigation should probably start at the Carmichael Road RTD, if rude staff are an indication of corrupt staff then this lot win first prize, not the vehicle licensing people though, they all seemed most professional.
