Several hundred years ago Bishops of the Christian churches would regularly convict and condemn people who had a different belief of the teachings of Jesus to be burnt alive publicly. These were sick and evil men who understood the teachings about as well most people understand quantum mechanics. Did the church people who appeared to perform on Bat Street for the so called National Day of Prayer get paid for their performance? Are their actions governed by simple greed and a lust for the power of recognition? Do evil acts perpetuated by those falsely claiming to be speaking for God merit a retribution greater than that afforded to regular sinners? The pronouncements of these evil self-satisfied charlatans is justly sickening.

Was not her mother one of the race of colonizers, Beryl, was it not? OK, Let's move on from that, after all Pindling's father was born in Barbados so he was only half
Bahamian, true true, aye?

he country owes a huge debt of gratitude to state employed worker Mr. Rodney Moncur, and State Employed Worker Mr. Carlos Reid. Both of these men are working probably 60 hours each and every week to keep the murder rate down. The murder rate last year in the Bahamas was 270 per million population; can you imagine how much higher it would be if Mr. Davis had not hired on these 2 tirelessly working men. The innovative ideas that they have already brought to the table can not be matched by any other State employed worker, and probably never will be. A knighthood at the very least should be in the near future for both of them.

This is so horrible for the woman involved. And what sort of sexual pervert wants to have forcible secs at 9 am in the morning anyway? Something definitely out of kilter with this man's mind IMO.

HI Slickened; compare the USA with the UK murder rates; both are considered first world countries; one has a relatively low murder rate, 9.9 per million population, the other has a relatively high murder rate. You want to guess which one has abolished capital punishment for almost 70 years now?

Congratulations to this churchman who has proved himself brave enough to state his position, which position is sure to be opposed by the hang 'em high crowd. There is no evidence that state executions of law breakers has any effect on the murder rate. The evidence actually leans towards the opposite. Compare the murder rates of th USA with that of the UK for example.

Countries that have outlawed capital punishment (hanging, shooting, gassing, or poisoning by the government, all have a lower rate of murder per capita than those countries where the State continues to punish it's citizens with death. Does Mr. Miller know why this is so?

The greatest single threat to this country is the pervasive morbid obesity; why did
pastor TG Morrison not mention this? Oh, now I see, I mean literally now I see.

The solution being proposed by government to tackle the county's extremely high murder rate is that people should pray? Ummm, well, OK. Perhaps we need 87 more Assistant Police Commissioners as that might work just as well as these prayers.
