With all the killing so far recorded this year the country is on target to set a new record for murders in a year. We are left to ponder whether appointing six extra highly paid assistant police commissioners, and having our government pay some pastors to hold a public prayer service, has actually had any beneficial effect at all. Perhaps the pastors were not paid enough money, or perhaps there needs to be another six highly paid police commissioners appointed?

Well, OK, good idea, but you mussa know that it will go absolutely nowhere. If you think different then check check the historical record of this particular country. France is not Germany or the UK.

I wonder how the right honourable Dr. Hubert Minnis can reconcile his solemn Hippocratic oath. to do no harm, with his support of state executions? Did he have his fingers crossed when swearing that medical doctors oath?

A well balanced article by Mr. Strachan. The usual right wing crazies will object but they are probably the same ones who though Bill Gates has planted a tracking device in the covid vaccine that they refused to take, and they probably also believe Mr. D.J. Trump really won the election that he so obviously lost. If capital punishment actually did anything to deter murders then it might be worth considering, but it does not.

Is there any better reason to be alarmed than that a highly paid State Employed Worker is telling anyone who may listen that there is no reason to panic? This reminds of the RMS Titanic, but I cannot think why.....

A small correction to a well written piece; " the Girl was once made in The Bahamas, too", well, no; St. Pauli Girl was never made in the Bahamas, it was brewed in Germany and imported. I know because it was my brand of choice back in the day. The St. Pauli Girl brand was then bought out by Becks who made the decision to focus their efforts on one brand not two.

A little learning is a dangerous thing. People have been selecting and citing carefully chosen passages of the Bible to support their bigotry for centuries now.
