What set of skills do these construction workers possess that Bahamians do not? 40% unemployment and you’re bringing in a plane full of foreign workers?
Look at the state of your constituency Brave. It embodies the old saying that if you keep doing what you’ve always done, you’ll keep getting what you’ve always gotten. Pray tell why now we should believe that you have all of these new ideas to propel our country forward. Furthermore, a month ago you said that the present administration is not doing enough to stimulate the economy...now they are being cavalier.
I don’t disagree, but The communication that I have seen thus far is very vague. What kind of test? Rapid? Antibody? A couple that I am friends with have waited over 6 days for their test results.
But he had no problem letting that plane full of people in because they “did not appear to show any symptoms of Covid!” Too bad he didn’t grow a set until he was no longer a puppet. He had the platform to speak his mind loud and proud and now he’s going to question protocol?
Darrin Woods should have planned better. Through all of this, all the Union was able to do was $one $100 voucher. Every union member has put more Money than that into the union through dues since the beginning of the year. Where’s the money Darrin?
This clown can’t get out of his own way. No real solutions, no expanded testing, no plan! Just like we were in a position to take advantage of the windward islands being hurt by hurricanes a ccouple of years ago, the rest of the region is going to be more prepared than us coming out of this pandemic. This is only going to further delay our recovery. How are the Caymans systematically testing tens of thousands of their citizens, while we are still mired around the 2,00 mark for the 3rd week in a row.
Fully agree. How does slashing the tax so that Mr. Christie can make his 6% while the Bahamian purse loses tax money from rich foreigners, benefit the average Bahamian? Isn't he the realtor that brokered the lighthouse point deal in Eleuthera selling Bahamian land to another cruise ship entity? Albany already enjoys a full tax free concession and that is not benefitting Bahamians. Their members do not travel out of the gates for any products and bring everything they need in on their yachts. Ignorant and tone deaf Mr. Christie. How does lining your pockets benefit Bahamians?
