Somebody sure is getting their rocks offs doing this nonsense. Guess the ‘kidnapper’ decided to wait for the heat to die down before striking again. That being said I agree with the above comment. Parents need to start talking to their children in the strongest terms about talking to strangers and even worse going far enough to get in their cars! We may live in the Bahamas but please let’s not take it for granted that this only happens in America. There are sick people out there who are reading or hearing these stories and getting ideas. We don’t want anything worse to happen to our kids.

And minister of tourism just convinced the American embassy to pull back its advisory on Arawak cay bring ‘unsafe’. Now this. And who knows how many tourist witnessed this. Wow.

Seems like the more they say crime is down and tourists aren’t really being affected the more things keep happening to refute it.

Actually not true. In year one I may be making $100/week. By year 20 I may be making $500/week. If I allow it to accrue and take it all in year 20, then I'm getting 40 weeks at $500 per week versus the lesser sum I would have received in year 1. The officers are smarter than the government. Their take-home pay is greater for having waited. I can see Mr. Dames' point. It has to stop.

Isn't this a repeat of what he said after the PLP lost the last general election?

Technically it sounds true on paper but we know how this goes. He stays in the background for Board appointments and big fat contracts like Valentine Grimes and Darrel Rolle.

Let put this way. For the cronies, politics NEVER ends.

Know your history. The BCC did try to stop it. In fact they spearheaded a "Vote No" campaign which was led by the late Dr. Myles Munroe, when the it was initially proposed by referendum (later dubbed "an opinion poll) to legalise it. They celebrated when it was defeated, but needless to say, that was short-lived as the PLP went ahead and legalized it anyway.

The question really is how did the thousands that are illegally living here get here undetected. This is just ONE boatload that was about to land undetected had it not hit a coral reef and sank. Let that sink in for a moment.
