..." behind the celebration of the milestone is a growing concern among web shop bosses that authorities aren’t doing enough to clamp down on illegal operators...."
Hold up! weren't they illegal at some point too. Dang. Talk about hypocrisy!!!
Minnis (a.k.a. The Press Release King) has deluded himself into thinking the FNM will win by default and now he's pandering to the voters by pretending to care which they all do to get their hands in the cookie jar.
Frankly I am still waiting for a viable third option - and it's not the DNA. The Bahamas is not totally lost. I am still looking to the hills as I suspect something major will happen to shift this country back into the hands of the citizens and we will get a Government for the people, of the people and by the people. God has not forsaken us. Keep Hope Alive!
watcher is it just me or did the PM and his cronies pass a Stem Cell Bill for Nygard within six months of being elected to office and did they not also pass a Gaming Act for their Number Boys financial backers? I would continue but I'm sure you get my drift. 30 days to meet demands- the foremost of which is a Freedom of Information Act to expose their wickedness is not too much to ask for. After all we, the people, are the employers of this Government.
If you can table Bills in Parliament for your cronies, what's to stop you from fast-tracking a Bill for your real bosses, the people who elected you? But that's just my 5 cents,
I agree. I think its the one black mark on the whole movement. Why is a convict at the forefront. Henfield needs to watch who he associates with. Bostwick strikes me as being a opportunist.
The good part about having the foreigners run BEC is that there is no "special list" of persons whose light, no matter how high the bill, never gets cut off. I query if he was in charge if his daughter's light would have been cut off. The time for slackness is past. Pay ya darned bill!
What kills me, Mr. Gibson, is that long after they have been kicked out of office and Mr. Christie mercifully has been retired into the sunset, our children and grandchildren will be dealing with this mess.
How I long for the day when our elected Government will actually be about people who elected them and not cronyism and lining their pockets with back-door deals. I truly long for a day when the foreigner element has to sit small in this country and wait their turn because Bahamians are being put first..
Your are right. We have been sold. Sold for a bold of porridge! :-((

This was planned and I have no doubt they came up with the "poor service" reason after they saw what happened at Sandals.
I know people who were there for years and all were not bad employees. Y'all better wake up!
