Every successive Government brings this up and the pressure to pass the law always shows up the minute the Government changes. You can small an agenda even though you can tell most if not all of the Government leaders do not support it.

Kinda reminds me of the plastic bag ban. Here we are banning plastic this and that and Florida which literally has its neck in our waters and the same coastline and beaches still uses plastic. You can go into an Walmart and tote them back home. It's like there is one law for the smaller countries and another for the big ones. The Bahamas continues to allow itself to be forced into passing laws that noone else follows. Marital rape like the plastic bag ban is just another one.

A blind man could have seen this coming. This is the equivalent of Satan casting out Satan and the Bible says if he does this his kingdom cannot stand so if the Government is being sued and you are a part of the Government why would you fight yourself? It's easier to just settle. So a perceived crook appears to be getting away with even more. Clearly, I missed my calling. I should have been a politician.

Now let's see what's next. They will use taxpayers dollars to settle with Leslie Miller as well and all existing PLP cases will be dismissed. Everybody rich!!!

From all accounts the young lady had failed to follow through with previous charges against her killer and even in her final weeks of life appeared to be hesitant to file a complaint and have him arrested. Her own family admitted that she waited too late. I also think the police are using the fact that she didn’t file a complaint as an excuse for their inaction. The fact that if she had said he was out on bail, it would have resulted in a different outcome makes no sense as surely having previously offended, he should have been ‘known to the police’. She failed herself and the police failed her. it’s just very sad all around.

I feel bad for the FNM. The words 'slim pickings' come to mind.

After Ingraham quit slim pickings got them Minnis and what a tragedy! I guess the one comfort they have is at this point, ANYONE absolutely ANYONE is better than Minnis so good luck and God speed Pintard.

If a picture paints a thousand words..this would say. "Oh how the mighty have fallen!'

HAM looks so.dejected. Most humble I've ever seen him compared to a few months back where he was telling the media off and carrying on like he was king of the hill.

Let this be a lesson to all who aspire for high office. In politics you get no do overs. You get a chance. Use it to do something good. This man had an opportunity but he got heady and squandered it. It's hard to feel sorry for him.

She will do well. She is a lady of class. Reminds me of Lady Pindling. The other one... not so much. She had us all thinking it was her idea and sparked alot of controversy by seeming to have created an office for herself instead of just saying it was mandated by caricom.

This isn't right. How did he get his plans approved without subdivision approval. Perhsps a Shoddy architect or contractor paid someone under the table to bypass the approvals required before building?5

Bahamian are just waking up to this bank's foolishness. I ditched my account several years ago when they started charging a $5 monthly fee just to maintain a savings account. Then they started charging persons with non-RBC accounts $10 to cash their customers" cheques never mind that the customer was already being charged a fee to maintain the chequing account. Everything with this bank is take, take, take. What kills me is the long lines of Bahamians that que up everyday to continue banking with them. When are we gonna wake up? Guess we still have sockets for punishment.

So he took the profits from one illegal activity starts another illegal activity, bank rolls two major political parties, gets the illegal activity regulated, does some philanthropy and this makes him exempt from being prosecuted for the first illegal activity because he is now an upstanding citizen?

Alright!! You just can't make this stuff up.
